LMS not going :(

Does anyone leaving from the Fresno area have room on thier rig for another body? I have my own sleeping arrangements. No reason to drive my truck by myself, just wasting fuel. I will ante up for gas of course, im not looking for a free ride. If no room no worries, im still driving there. I just feel stupid driving in my truck for one person.

Steve are you still going iron butt? Are any of your DRs running?

yes yes yes

come on along montibanks

Here she is the hybrid mixture of 3 dr650's. The good news is that the bike runs, the bad new is what it lacks in power it makes up in excess weight, not nearly as fast as the white one. Am tempted to put the flat slide carb on, but it is a little late to be farkling wth carb stuff. running a 46 rear and a 15 front, top speed is about 85 mph. put the nice shock on it and everything is good so far, been riding around this week to check mileage, so far I have about 130 miles on it without reserve. 3.5 gallon tank. so I guess I will be getting in the mid 40's gas mileage. Alot better than the white one at approximately 25 miles to the gallon. by the way monti I have your extra fuel cells. want me to bring them for you?

Yay! Yes please bring them, or I can pick them up tomorrow if you dont want to haul them. I can't long haul this on the KTM, I will stick it for sure. That kind of road miles equals a really early death for the 530 I think. Not to mention I am about 1/4 through these tires at 400 miles now. I dont want to have to buy tires when I get there :)

Do you need someone to haul yer extra gear/stuff? I am sure it would make for a much nicer ride down if you aren't overloaded from the outset.

I have tomorow off from work for last minute prep all day. Give me a call tonight or tomorow before you go.

Heh, now isnt that the fun of it? My next bike will be more adventuresome. I will try and scoop up a 950 super enduro or the equivalent when I have the 530 paid in full. I must pay off the car first then I can start making big payments towards the 530. I figure 3 years I will have my first adventure bike if all goes well.

Next bike will be able to do at least 2k miles on an oil change and still wear knobbies. If not I dont want it. This sort of hobby really does require more then one bike.

From Pomona-around 2 hours? Oh man, that's nice. I'm leaving at 4am for an eight hour haul. I'll be the one with the pale face, bloodshot eyes and hands stuck to the steering wheel. Have the pry bar ready. See y'all then!

Hey guys-
Just got out of the doctor's office- I've got the flu in a bad way! But I would NEVER flake now!! It took me years to learn this area and look forward to sharing what little I've learned with my two-wheeled brethren. It's the only thing keeping me going now. See you tomorrow-
Tom
