put it back together

had a spare side cover for the dr, the old one had a hole smashed in it from the chain. I cleaned out all the metal particles (hopefully) had to use some rtv as a bolt because one of the bolt holes is broken off, i will see if it holds in the morning when it is dry. If this works then I will be in good shape. Ready for the next trip, Layne................you ready Now I just have to remove a link or two from the chain and off we go. I will have pictures when I get the camera from montibanks, he wont bring it to my house for me, he's mean guy I am ready for dove springs or even the pismo dunes, lets rock some sand!!!

Maybe I can drop by and help you knock that link out if you havent already. Is there a master link in that chain?

Some minor repairs to do myself, but I may be in. Do we have anything planned for May yet? If lots of road I will have to trailer most of the highway miles.

Almost time for new tires here. I figure at this rate I will get approx 1k miles out of a set of tires. These are a bit soft, maybe the D606's will last a little longer.

Now if I could only get my husabroke back.

For the people that have not seen Rich's dr it really nice looking with good farkle. BOB I hope you heal up fast thanks for showing me around the first day. I hope I didnt slow you down to much. Steve thanks for the grub and the cooking. When I first found this ride I kinda wondered why some of you were riding/driving so far. It turned out the the riding offered a little bit of everything. But what really think made this event was all the good folks that should up. Thanks for making me and the kids feel welcomed. Ill see you guys at the next ride. Ben
Ben-It was great meeting you down there. But all the credit goes to Montibank, Tom and all the other guys that made this thing work together. I was just along for the ride. I'll try to get some more pics up tonight.

a few of the players:

The desert was an open book and the weather beautiful:

Montibank headed out to check out those rocks:

Stopping to explore:

Steve dove in for a closer look at the hidden spring (above)
Next, we arrived at Kelso Depot for a very welcome rest:
TR1200, OPTOPILOT, ramjet, Montibank and Stevele5 horizontal

First we gassed up in Baker: Tom, Steve, Layne and Montibank

They caught a glimpse of these guys peeling onto the asphalt:

Glad we didn't have to compete with them.
And finally, thanks to OPTOPILOT for the good food:

Until next time:

Playing with pictures on I-Photo. Hope this works!

I have created a pdf file of 24 pics to keep the size of this thread a little shorter. I hope this works. I see this won't work. Since I've got to go to work; It will have to wait till tonight. Darn! Great pics fellas!

Glad to hear that everything turned out well for you Bob. The riding bug hit my son hard. I picked up a project quad on Monday. Its a complete 85 Honda trx125. I was able to get it for $50 bucks. It has been sitting for 2 years b4 I picked up. Cleaned out the tank and carb added a new spark plug and she started. It smokes a bit and has some piston slap. We already started taking the top end off to see what we got. Thanks to ebay I should have it running well by next weekend. When all said and done, it should run me about $150 bucks. In two year I plan to buy him a yamaha blaster 2000. Ben
