Gotta love the Capo. Does it count as cleaning if you ride in the rain?

For us, yes it does. I rode in the rain for the first time last Tuesday. Just a real light shower on my way home. I kept seeing "stuff" on my face shield and I thought it was dust at first because I was driving through a road construction zone. Then I looked down at the windshield and it was beading up on there. No big deal, just the first time I've ever ridden in the rain.

When you have good bike(read Capo) rain is not problem...

I miss my silver Capo. Got rid of it because it is almost impossible to get parts for it. If one travels and breaks down????

It is too bad that Aprilla could not get the parts issues resolved...or maybe they have by now.

MCN (UK) reports today that Aprilia are looking to produce a 1200cc adventure bike in 2009, using the 'dorsoduro' engine layout, currently in the Shiver.

What parts?Here in my country few years ago there was problems with parts.Situacoin now is o.k.Since Piaggio baught it everything is going better.Only few pices you ned to wait.It's luck that Capo almoust newer going down soo you don't need any parts.

Yeah I heard that too. They also had someone at Aprilia saying it wouldn't be like the Capo, since they're trying to stay with the sportbike image. I guess that would be like Ferrari building a 4x4. Their loss, the Capo is a great bike, it rivals the BMW GS, they both have their advantages and disadvantages, but BMW has name recognition.

In my mind, the greatest shortcoming of the Capo is it's charging system. I haven't had any problems with mine, but I am keeping an eye on it just in case. I wish it had more charging capacity, 470 watts vs. 720 on the GS. And when you have two 55-watt headlights and two 35-watt driving lights, you eat up your capacity pretty quick.

Micah @ AF1 is the MAN! Those guys over there are doing some wild stuff & it shows that they love what they are doing! Extremely knowledgable fellas when it comes to Aprilia. You should have seen the modified Capo they had for sale when I was in "the Hill Country" last November.

Mr. Pete, too much reading on the net and not enough riding. I have 40K+ miles, I keep showing on my sig the list of problems as well as my webpage with long trips, always 2up. Last November I went to the Grand Canyon, always riding through the backroads...

Very difficult to beat the Capo... I ended up buying a Tuono as a second bike, but if I decide to go back to one bike only, guess what, Capo will stay.

I have seen great deals lately, sometimes I feel like selling mine and buy a ...new Capo. OTOH, I have no reason to trade for a new one!!!

Seriously or...just gossip?? I know the 1200 engine exists but ....a new Capo was not forseen due to the Guzzi Stelvio introduction. No fights between Guzzi and Aprilia!!!
