Pistol recommendation -brand-
Honestly, where ever could a guy go for safe and unbiased advice about firearms but in Jo momma?
Here are the requirements: 1- don't need to kill a moose with that. Most use will be at shooting range and the ability to post in JM about "my gun". 2- got to be automatic. I am no John Wayne. 3- got to be inexpensive. Do you really want me to rob a bank to get the money to buy a gun? So the rounds gotta be cheap. Thank you in advance for all you mature and positive responses.

Get a 12 gauge shotgun for home defense. Tie a ham hock to the end of your dick to make it feel bigger.

Good used ones can be found for $400 expect about $500 for new. Buy a couple of more magazines. Go to Wal-mart buy 1000 rounds of Winchester ball for about $120 (maybe slightly more now) Shoot it, shoot it some more. Take a local class. Shoot some more. Jurgen

Cheap calibers are generally 45acp or 9mm. You can buy bulk for not much. If you are looking in the semi-auto...are you into, or favor one type over another? You just want to plink at the range...maybe a 22 would work... |

Ruger P345. .45 ammo is cheap, the P345 runs about $450, and will last a lifetime.

Just make sure to hold it sideways. That’s the most important thing.
Brand, smand. What are ya, a fag? John Wayne was a fag!

Get a .22 LR pistol if you want it for range fun. Inexpensive ammo and no fatigue from long shooting sessions. Ruger makes great reliable .22s, I've put about 60k+ rounds through 3 different Rugers with only a few spring changes.
If you want a larger caliber then go 9mm. Go to a range that rents guns and try different brands, they vary a lot in grips so you need to worry more about what feels good in your hand. All the major brands put out good pistols these days, so you are safe once you find one that feels good.

In Europe 9mm are/were the game. In my old age I had 7.62 NATO and 9mm. I shoot some S&W .38 revolver. Ruger sounds nice but I have no clue past the name.
