Still waiting for my '09 450 RR to arrive. Can't wait to get it and ride it.

Anybody know wazzup with beta-talk.com? Site's been down for many days now.

Just found this thread Nice that it has been kept alive so long. I have been trying to go to Beta-talk but as the previous posted mentioned it has been down for some time now so I will post my question here...

I have a new to me 08 525RR (Sold an 05 525EXC)

What hand guards are you guys running and what year KTM should I cross referance? The bike came with Cycra Stealth guards installed but they just seem a bit weak for the tight woods riding and I'm afraid if I drop the bike in the rocks I will not have enough protection to save the levers. I have heard both EE and Pro-bends on this thread but curious to know more and if you are running the bar or triple mount on the Cycra's.

Thanks!

Beta to arrive in New Mexico

So I have been following this thread for some time now and I have also been following a few threads in Thumpertalk. Everything I have read on Beta on the internet has been good !

I have a friend that owns an ATV shop here in the 4 corners and I twisted his arm a bit this past Summer and now he has some Beta bikes in shipment on their way to the 4 corners area of New Mexico and I believe they will be here by January 15th .

At this point I am wondering what I can sell so that I can own a new Beta

Better than cycra probend? I've seen PBs mounted in the center on Bike Bonz bar clamp mounts, and they are rock solid.

I need to call Chip @ Threat Racing about a UPS package. When I talk to him, I'll ask what's up with beta-talk.com. We have a good thread here, fortunately. Pretty sexy photos there above. I just got my leftover 09 and broke my arm on my KTM the very next day. Photos of the bike on their way though.

Are the rad guards by boano for beta adequate? Any bad experiences with these? I don't want my rads folding like a bad poker player.

On our Betas we have Barkbusters, which I can highly recommend!

At Boano they use Ufo Handguards (as far as I know):

Sorry, I jumped in with a Q about radiator guards in the midst of a hand guard discussion. I might have created a lil confusion.

Both my brother and I have the EE guards, and we both don't like how they fit. Needs a inboard mount that fits the bars and adjusts better.
