I have and like them. Seem sturdy enough, especially on the sides. The optional fan works well with the too. No interference with the horn if you have an RS.

Sweet, thanks. I have a 450 RR I'm trying to tag in Maryland. I'll be adding a fan and horn so this is good info. I would have just gotten an RS but I found the leftover 2009 RR at a price I could not turn down. The only new RS models in country now are the 2011s.

Congrats, man.

You don't know me from Adam, but I've been pullin' for ya. I'm trying to add a woods bike as my second bike, and I haven't been able to pull it off. You must be feeling pretty good.

Nice. Any mods planned (besides putting a lot of miles on it)?

I'm going to go look at an '07 450 EXC today.

Thanks yeah, getting a new scoot is a great feeling. Especially after yearning for a certain bike for so long.

I put EE hand guards and a big tank already. Seal savers are the only other thing I have planned. I think Scotts makes SS oil filters. I'll probably do that at the first oil change.

I had the chance to ride with a new 2011 520rr last weekend in the desert near Ridgecrest. Seems like a nicer scoot compared to others in it's class. The owner was coming off of a 2007 525exc and said the Beta is mo'beta in everyway! Good to see something different once in a while.

Was the guy Joey Brown? He's the Beta dealer in my town.

He really likes his new scoot.

Yes it was, I was riding with his family and some friends. I had to throw in the towel early on sunday so I didn't have a chance to ask to ride it, but it sure looked nice

Joey's a good guy. I bought my 1st bike from his dad a long time ago.

I should get one of those. It's a lot more bike than I'm a rider, but what the heck? Right?
