NITRO Trials school at Lena IL on 8/9/14

Prior to the AMA District 17 Moto Trial event on Sunday 8/10 NITRO will be having an open ride and training day on Saturday.
Several of our riders are volunteering their knowledge to any one wishing to learn trials techniques on dirt or trials bikes. Beginners this is your chance to learn how to handle a dirt bike. Already a better rider then Pat Smage or Cody Webb, the trails will be open for riding on Saturday and camping will be available so you can prove it on Sunday. I am hoping to hear from some big bike riders so I can bring my GSA out and maybe set up a Field Trials like back in the day when Harley's used to go over tetter totters. There are a good amount of trails that I rode my GSA on when I was setting up past events.
More info at www.nitrotrials.com or on Facebook at AMA District 17 Moto Trials

I've ridden my KTM 350 over the teeter totter and cleaned the big log too!

Rode out there and back on the BMW yesterday. The 1200 works pretty good as a setup bike, plenty of room for ribbon and markers in the side cases. I even had the weed whacker along. There were only a few sections of the loop that were hairy, especially the slippery downhill without remembering to turn the ABS off first. I looked at the teeter totter but thought I might break it. That would of made a lot of people unhappy this weekend.
Keep it in mind if you don't have anything going on next weekend.

And besides, I rode there last weekend.

Thank You

Great turnout and a fun weekend. I hope you all had a good time.
Mike, you did a great job on your KTM especially as tight as it was in the Intermediate Line!

My 350 sucks as a trials bike and you thought I might be able to do the Advanced line? Not a chance in he...

There were a bunch of DS guys there on Saturday getting some trials instruction.

Unless you were riding over that track groomer, I don't see much there for trials obstacles.

Stifling dust, deep sand, a few logs, a few water crossings, and logging trucks. Holy shit...logging trucks.
