I hit RR51 on the way back from pie at Stockholm with the clan. I enjoyed the water crossings and gravel back in there.

That last time we were there. One of the guys who was on a GS was following me at speed. He forgot to turn his ABS off, came around that corner, saw the water and hit the brakes. Only for nothing to happen.

Lean back, throttle on, hope for the best. That's a fun road.

Got to do 110 & 112 for the first time last weekend and went to re-do 51 or the full one for the first time. Now that I see the post above me I also forgot to turn the ABS off too!

RR110

RR112

Camped at Merrick State Park and was the only one in the South Campground. Everything was covered with a thick layer frost when I woke up to shotgun blasts of the duck hunters

Why is a stop sign needed on a Minimum Maintenance road? This is on RR51.

I didn't know that you could incorporate a town with 66 people.

Almost forgot.... A crappy pic of chocolate pie from Stockholm!

Are you kidding? R51 is one of the most heavily traveled routes in western Wisconsin: Dual sport noobs on their first adventure, watercress and ginseng pickers, movie crews planting fiberglass runic neoliths, FJRs, Gold Wings, jaded winter bikers bored with digging ruts in the snowmobile trails, you name it.

Yep… saw two trucks, a lost PT Cruiser and a couple walking 5 dogs that wanted to play in the water crossings. Careful around those blind corners on that road…. it's busier than you expect on nice days.

That's one of the reasons I think some of the other RRs are more fun than 51. The water crossings are fun and all, but it can be busy.

I have not seen anybody on that road besides myself yet. Well, the first time I was on it two years ago there was some major road work going on and there as a dump truck, front end loader and a few other vehicles filling a large void in the road.

I'm bored off my ass today at work and I was looking throught the rustic roads that I have ridden trying to figure out which ones did not have signs when I last was through there. The ones I came up with are 30, 35, 47, 75, 81, 88, 92, 109, 111, 113,114.

I have not been to 111 & 114 yet so I don't know about them for sure but I will suspect 114 for sure. I was at 109 & 113 in September 2013 and they did not have signs then. The others I traveled in March & April of 2010.

Does anybody know if these have signs up on them? I'd like to go and do them again and capture a picture with the number sign.
