DRAT.

Oh well, wasn't a bad ride anyways-
I was there yesterday, and it still doesn't have any signage, so I took this photo:

Maybe I can get a ruling from Powerhouse, otherwise, there's a few more than 100, right?

Also, RR #84 is closed at the moment because of flooding:

Although I do have a shot of the sign with my bike:

I'll try to get a more 'official' one from this road when it actually opens.

I don't know what I am going to do about RR #50, from the descriptions here, I don't know that a mere street bike can handle it.

We have a ruling!

RR 106 has been missing a sign for some time now. What Bipbap did is the preferred way to document an RR with a missing sign. Note that his picture has both the RR street and a cross street so it is locatable.

From an earlier post:
There have been other reports of signs missing. If you get to a route and the sign is missing, here's what you do. First, make sure you really are where you think you are and at a particular Rustic Route. Double check because the maps in the state brochure can be a little bit vague. Check the other end of the route for a sign. If you've double checked both ends of the route and there aren't any signs, then take a picture of your bike in front of the street sign. I'll want to see the sign for both the street and the cross street.

It is a pain in the you-know-what to look up the intersections to verify routes. If you send me a package with a whole bunch of street signs instead of rustic route signs, I'll begin to doubt your navigational prowess. If other folks have been sending in pictures of the rustic route signs and you don't have them, I might suggest you try a little harder.

Great to see folks out bagging RRs! There are still plenty of stickers left.

Kevin

ps - Don't be scared off by tall tales of rough roads. A lot of the rustic roads are gravel, and there are some interesting elements like sand or minor water crossings that come into play on some roads, but all of the roads I've traversed are rideable by a prudent rider on pretty much any motorcycle. Of course, ride your own ride, your mileage may vary, if all the other kids jumped off a bridge would you jump too.

Dude you could have totally driven around that road closed sign! And the water doesn't look to deep! Sheesh this is ADVRider, not IDontWantToRuffleMySkirtRider!

In actuality if you do R50, let me know how it is. I am in the area this weekend and might give it a try. I'm on a Versys which is no more dirt worthy than your bike!

What's really funny is the fact that you can clearly see the tracks of others to the right of the signage. Man up!

I'll stick up for ya. I live 2 miles from that road. It is flooded deep enough that you can't see the roadthrough the water. The nice thing about that is... you see that left turn up the road aways... the road turns left there because if it didn't it would go in the river. On top of that they cut down all the trees where the road and the river meet so you can't see which is which simply judging by the trees.

You didn't miss much anyway. My friend lives on that road and his wife was the one who petitioned the state to have it made a RR. I never could figure out why the state did it. Other than the artesian well it is just like every other road in the area. Well, not every road in the area is flooded obviously. But I hardly see that as a selling point.
