The Supermotard Thread
I'm so excited. Video, pictures, conversions, all makes and all sizes.....post em here. I know that I posted this in an other thread, but that was kind of a hijack, considering that it's on XR 650 adventure conversions. So I'm doing it again here. Pulled from the shop's page where my bike is currently getting it's refit. 2001 Honda XR 650R One nice XR650R being retired from dirt service and taking up active duty on Duffy Lake Road. ![]() VSM Legalizer Warness with Trail Tech Vapor, RAD Equalizer Cush with Excel 17s with Goldspeed SM tires, Braking SM brakes, all new OEM Honda plastics, Twofortythree fat bar, Zeta armor handguards with flashers, already equipped with Ti Akro... R6 rider, this one has your number. ![]() Dirty BRP ![]() This BRP may have some dirt on it but there's no oil on the outside of the motor after almost 8 years... a true statement of quality. ![]() She's gonna clean up like a gem. ![]() Clutch cover had a hairline crack ![]() Notice the new OEM clutch cover. Since we work on XR's so much we always have parts on hand. ![]() Took the airbox out to clean it and get access to the carb because we "raised the needle" ![]() Brand new OEM rear fender with LED inner kit brake/tail light. This is a must have for bright lights that last. ![]() Flush mount LED turn signals ![]() Now the bike is fully wired. Stay tuned for more this week. ![]() Once done it's going to be an animal, I'm pretty excited about it. The 320 mm brake alone makes me loose sleep. The lads at the shop forgot to mention that we're going with a 15/40 tooth setup to give it some legs, as well as a HID front light. By the time that March rolls around it should be good to go. Weirdo screwed with this post 02-20-2008 at 07:03 AM |

Have you seen the Rad cush hub yet? I was wondering what you thought about the finish and quality.
I just sold one motard and I'm now waiting for my wheels and braided line for the plated WR450(Rad cush hub). Blue hubs with black Excel's This bike has me loosing sleep like a highschool kid that just fondled his first set of tits. That XR is going to be sweet.

Excellent! Some say the BRP is a little too top heavy for supermoto but I love it and as soon as I come across a spare $2k my Piggy is going to have 17's and a big ass brake
As is now: ![]() Keep us fed with pics as you build her
