But, have them sitting in your garden Rob? Shame on you, get them mounted on a bike or at least in a nice storage.

I'm not sure if they are identical but the shapes the same, hinges are different though.

I'm ashamed to say they're getting buried in dirt at the minute and covered in cat pee..

There's some nice welding on these. Somebody has replaced the hinges at some point. I'm sure they're home made items. Very strong though. I bought them for 10 ($20 ish) locally. I should clean them up I guess..

looks like you are planning on planting them like a perennial.

The wife wants to take the lids off, hang them on the garage wall and use them as planters.

if you aren't going to take those and the tank inside at least have the decency to sell them to someone who'll use them.

or take your wife's advice.

Add a couple of feet of snow and our back yards look remarkably similar, right down to the airhead RS fairing bits.

I should host a garage sale in spring when everything "surfaces".

heinrich tank

To those of you that have gone this Heinrich route versus, pd tank, HPN, Acerbis, old Tesch tank, what modifications needed to be made, if any?
Is there any ID for the Heinrich tank, as they were made for various models? Please forward.

the aluminum panniers look like old style Tesch to me.

Just fitted a used R 100 Tesch rear rack to my G/S, next inline is the tank. I thought of a standard r 100gs tank to save some money, anybody selling one? thanks for letting me know. Want to sell my old original tank and original seat(orange). They are a pain in the butt. Both don't have enough volume to get you somewhere long distance.

Update:

So, on Sunday I pulled the final drive to have the stripped drainplug hole repaired, pulled the swing arm, pulled the transmission and will be cleaning it as well as lubing the splines.... put new bulbs into the speedo and tach and bled the front brake. Oh, and washed the bike.

Check out my new avitar, is that not possible the coolect sticker you have seen on a bike in some time

I'm using a green scrubber pad with "Simple Green" and will then finish up with a clean green scrubber pad and some WD40...

Good eye! The bikes "birthday" is October 1980...

Thats real early. Possibly one of the first "press release" bikes?

I had an early 81 so recognised the electrics setup. My current ones a July 87 and has a different layout.
