This is part of your training. You cannot be shown that which you must find.

(hint: think spokes)

beautiful country you have up there.

I went mountain biking (the pedal kind) this morning for about 4 hours. I was completely exhausted when I finished. We ride tougher stuff on bicycles than I would ever even attempt on the GS, but the GS leaves me with much less weariness after a long ride.

Datchewpara. I like that.

Like a champ. perhaps better than ever actually...

When I drained the final drive (first time since the rebuild) there was a good amount of fuz on the magnet and a bunch of shiney's in the oil... gonna run it hard for a few hundred miles and change it again.

That's the east side of the cascade mountain range.... went from 70-ish on my side to almost 100 degrees in about 90 miles of riding....

Well that's good to hear. I think it's time for that bike to give you 20 or 30 thousand miles of trouble free riding.

Chicken Poop to Chicken Salad...

So, I just bought this really horrible looking G/S solo seat that I suspect is a wunderlich "low" seat.... who would ride with such a thinkg?

Well, when I saw the add for this seat, a plan sprang to mind! I had received a solo seat minus pan when I bought my G/S and had sold it to another ADVR'r thinking I would never ever find a G/S solo pan to use it with... sent the guy an email, and low and behold looks what is back in my hands!

Rivet removal, cover stripping, pan cleaning and painting and re-assembly scheduled for this weekend!

Oh, and I ordered a rack from Hammersly BMW that should arrive before my Oly Loop dirt ride in about a week or so..

After hours of stripping paint, sanding rust, buying crap from the fabric store, stretching and riveting I present chicken salad! (rack comes next week)..

Still need to find a few of those rubber bumpers that go under the seat...

Check out the ACE/True Value - I think I've seen those rubber bumpers there.
