maybe they meant 370lbs without gas, trans oil, rear diff oil, the float bowls drained and no air in the tires

Nothing like a little optimism?
The electric start was an optional extra on the 80/81 bikes so I suppose 370lbs with this junked and a dry bike might be plausible. I think it's great the speed you're moving on that bike Solo. If it turns out anything like your Paralever GS it's going to be a great bike. One of the UKGsers put his siebenrocked 1000 G/s on the Dyno and It measured 43BHP at the back wheel. The standard bikes obviously going to be a lot lower than that. I've heard 37BHP quoted. This is it on the Dyno Rob Farmer screwed with this post 02-27-2008 at 03:54 PM |

Johnny posted a few of the build pictures here :- http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showpos...9&postcount=10 The frames been heavily reinforced round the cylinder head and swinging arm pivots along with a 4" extension on the swinging arm. It's a really nice bike when you see it. The European guys spend a fortune on their Airheads and never seem to hesitate to hack them about to suit their needs..quite an eye opener. Weissbeers (Danish GSer) mono is one of my favourites - http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showpos...1&postcount=54 Rob Farmer screwed with this post 02-28-2008 at 05:20 AM |

Airhead taking a dump?
I enjoyed the video of the Dyno test, but correct me if I am mistaken: did that old airhead take a dump at :19 and :40.
Sure looks like it. Check out the center of the engine under acceleration.

Anyone want to buy my now spare 4-valve K bike caliper? $60 including shipping to you! Boxerworks sells an adapter for $70 to mount it to your G/S forks... Here is a shot of a G/S with the caliper bracket from boxerworks
