So I'm sitting there with the wife...
...rugrat bouncing on my knee, just chatting over coffee. I look over and say, "Honey, I've got to go on an adventure."
She looks at me in that stereo-typical wife sort of way and says, "While I accept that you are a lot easier to get along with when you've worked that wanderlust off, I still don't get why its so important." So I reach over, boot the laptop, hit ADV and go straight to the Rides Section. "See, if you can understand it better with some pictures..." So I flip open this report, cause its near the top... Thank you. ![]() Besides a kick ass, photog wet dream of a ride report, you got me 2 weeks on the bike burn some gas and find some twisties... as long as I stay in the country.

I've been fortunate enough to be a part of the first leg (Lisboa-Dakar-Bissau) of this "Until the end of the world" project . Anyway, the gentleman in the picture bellow is guilty of all charges :) ![]() Like most of us, Carlos Azevedo dreamed of roaming round the world for years on. Understanding that to cut with family, SO, employers... it takes a lot more than dreaming, Carlos A decided to cut his project in 4 stages more or less compatible with yearly vacation time. If you can't afford a year lets make it two months. If we don't have two months, join in for a month. And if you don't have a month we'll ride what we can. At the end he'll have riden from one extreme of the globe to the other, while others are still postponing their dreams to when retirement comes, kids grow, employment gets stable... ![]() ![]() Carlos A is a dreamer but he's a doer also. He carefully investigates what it takes to ship bikes, cross borders, if roads are passable... then he invites a few friends, and we just go and make up the rest as we go. Carlos A is also the mentor and founder of Nomad's, a Portuguese community dedicated to trail bikes, off-roading and adventure travelling. I am very proud to be his friend and a little part of this big adventure |
