Talked to someone involved in getting that club started yesterday. We were going over the Keweenaw trail issues with the restricted access and such. This club will help with better representation for OHM riders in the area.

That's a good deal, the area needs a local Club involved with bikes to help make a good impression on these private land holding entities (for trail clean ups and such).

Since the snow is finally gone....alright....well, almost gone....figured I'd bring this back to the top.

Check out the list of UP based riders on page 1. If I am missing anyone, let me know and I'll add 'ya to the list.

Anyone gonna be riding up this way soon?

There will be three of us from Southern WI riding parts of your UPAT Big Bike route from 6/8 - 6/13. Maybe we'll cross paths with you and/or some of the UP folks while we are in the area. Keep an eye out for two GS's and a KLR looking hopelessly lost

I sure hope all the snow is gone by then, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were some patches here and there in the woods. Expecting cool nights...but at least bugs shouldn't be a problem!

Bob, I consider myself a 'weekend yooper', but you probably wouldn't want anyone other than genuine yoopers on the list, eh?

In June, after potato planting, my brother Leo and I will ride from my back door here in Antigo up to Big Eric's Bridge or thereabouts, avoiding as much blacktop as possible.

Sorry...but that list is exclusively for "full time" Yoopers.

But all you "weekend" Yooper wanna-be's are welcome to come on up, visit, spend your money, and go home!

Nice area to ride. I get up there once or twice a year at least. Rivers, falls, beaches, plenty of places to camp, and very few people.

Long haul from Antigo I'd think. Especially staying on dirt.

Cheers,
Dave

Yep. We are starting out Saturday morning from the Gladstone area, headed counterclockwise. Not sure what our pace will be, but should reach Marquette somewhere between Sunday and Tuesday

If you need a place to park a truck or trailers, I'm between Gladstone and Rapid River. I won't be here this weekend (I'll be in Madison WI) but can give you directions and there's plenty of parking space and it's right on the bay. Just let me know. Randy
