Neutral switch position

Hi there

I had to replace the fork seals (easiest forks I've ever done). To prop up the front end, I used 2 axel stands and a hydraulic floor jack. In the process I managed to dislodge the neutral switch. The problem is that I can't find the sucker. Anybody know where to look for the switch?

Thanks

Bill

The neutral switch is on the back of the engine cant remember which side. Don't try to reattach it when the exhaust is hot. I have a scar now because of it.

Hi all, I'm new to the Elefant family. I recently purchased a 94 900E and love it, I have a ? regarding the carbs, if I were to replace them what would I look for and were would I look. Bike has had most mods done already and runs strong but stumbles at the bottom or stalls.

Keihn 39 mm FCR's. You can find them here along with a lot of other stuff for the elephant:

No doubt, the FCRs will make it run better, but you may only need to clean the stock carbs and check the diaphragms for holes. They are common Mikuni CV carbs and parts are easy to find.

You’ll have a little more power and a little quicker response. However, unless someone (the seller of the carbs) has worked out the jetting and installation process perfectly, it can be a lot of work to get everything working correctly. I’d rather convert the E-900 to EFI using parts from a crashed Gran Canyon or just leave it stock—as it runs great the way it is.

Hi everybody.

I've got another small niggle - 750LE. The idiot light works when I select the left side indicator (blinker), but not for the right side. The indicators works fine on the right side (F & R) and seems the same brightness. Does anybody know where the trigger signal for the idiot light comes from? I'm thinking of replacing the flasher unit as a matter of course.

Thanks

Bill

Should have mentioned that there is an excellent site for the Elefant. The archive is an invaluable source of info and mailing list is very active:

if you have the oem reg. on your bike then probably its nothing to worry about.
check the voltage at the battery to see if there is some thing wrong or just the idiot light circuit gone mad. that happens
the idiot light circuit is in the reg and it gets its readings from the coils
check all the connections of the charging circuit and mainly the fuses

Cheers

Is that a Galassetti exhaust? I have emailed them several times with an inquiry for price and shipping of a system for my Gran Canyon... I guess they either do not speak english or do not ship international.
