Which Tire Too Buy

Im new too this forum. But need a new rear tire for my XR650L. I ride mostly paved roads. But want traction if I decide to ride a trail or a gravel roads.
Do you stay with the stock width? And what is a good tire for my riding.

Thanks

i like the shinko 244s on the xrl. they are great on the road and do ok offroad too. for the price they are a great deal and they go a long time before they are used up. i ran a 5.10x18 rear on mine but you can also run a 4.60x18.

Shinko 700 works great on the front or rear. My 700 on front has gone 9000 miles so far, not so on the rear. 4000 miles on rear for both 700 or 244.

Ive been using the Shinko 705's on my DR street wheelset, its a fat 19" on the front and fatter 17" on the rear.
705's are closer to a street tire but cruise gravel ok if you take it easy.

thats good, i use the 4.60x18 244s on my front and i put about 3,500 then flip them around since the start to cup a little then i went another 3,500 and still had lots of tread but went down to a 4.10. so far i have about 5,000 on the 4,10x18 front and its doing great. does the 700 cup at all on the front?
