A $500 pocket knife! WHAT?

I must be out of the loop here. Is this thing THAT special or just made for the outdoorsman who has more $$$ than brains?

It will get lost just as easy as a $20 knife.

Maybe $20K BMW guy = $500 knife guy = $300 glasses guy.

Flame on!

Those Benchmade knives are sweet, the locking mechanism is awesome, and the blade is top shelf as well and probably made of kryptonite or other type of unobtainium, but like someone mentioned, they do get lost just as easily as a $30 Sog. Just ask my buddy that dropped his Benchmade in the Copper this summer. He said, fk, that was by far the best knife I ever owned, for 3 months, then he went out and bought a Sog.

FWIW, the regular Osborne 940 (identical knife but not limited edition, whatever that means) is about $199 bucks at Sportsmans IIRC, Or $159 plus $40 shipping from amazon, but still……..Spyderco and Zero Tolerance might be more bang for the buck. If you rely on a good folding knife in your daily work, and you don't lose shit, I would say those brands of knives (not the particular $500 knife in the ad) are worth the price. Kind of like the sushi chef that buys $300 Japanese blue steel knives.

I'm somewhat of a knife junkie and its not too bad of an addiction, but $20 folding knives and $20 sunglasses have worked pretty well for me over the years. I lose a lot of them. But I don't even blink at a buying a $300 Shun or NENOX for the kitchen. Of course I'm probably nuts. No, I am nuts.
