also rode mates dr with a safari tank ,and it was a bit of a handful off road
with a full tank,having said that ,i wouldnt mind one as long as it wasn't blue

Hi Guys, I have been lurking for a while now. But it is time to intro my self. I m a proud owner of "Big Bird". (a yellow DR650). it is total orig at the moment while I figure out how to set it up to best suit my needs. I m also new to forum ing so if i make a mistake just educate me.

Not really thinking re jetting or big bore kits as I think if I want more power I get something else with more power. I wonder why is this thread died? Is there no need for it? Thanks. |

Think soft luggage if riding difficult terrain. Keep it low and forward. Even a small amount of weight high and way back on the bike can upset the handling. Hard luggage is just another thing to break your bones when the bike lands on you.

hey Drift,have you looked at the 8lt fuel bladder,strap it anywhere on your bike and when empty,just roll it up and stash it.
made out of some tuff curtain sider type material,has eyelets at each corner for easy mounting. used one on the cape york couple of years ago. i think liquid containment in AU makes them @about $160 |
