Yep, the creek is on Kawhia Rd, between Te Mata and Kawhia. (turn left at the road to Bridal Veil Falls).
The creek is fine, just be careful on the second crossing, as the rocks are very slimey.
The bridge may be impassable by the time CCA rocks around. (I'm guessing the deck timbers will be lifted).
I'm heading down to the CCA also, and plan to catch up with Clint etc at Ohakune.
Some type of general ride can be worked out I'm sure.

I've seen Toyota Corodas do all sorts of things that I wouldn't do on a bike. They make great hunting vehicles :-).
