Oh btw, I added some Eagle Mike's RL1 raising links and Progressive springs to the KLR last week. What a huge difference in the suspension now. Actually supports me and doesn't dive like crazy under braking.

Had a few visitors today....

AndyB stopped by on day two of what sounds to be a 5-6 day tour of West Virginia. (insertgreenwithenvysmiliehere)

He asked about some good roads. I sent him thadda way. Probably still lost

Later on Mrs WVrocks stopped by on her new ride. The pics don't show the new bike excitement on her face, but believe me, it was there.

Have a great weekend everyone.
Neal

WFOHillbilly,
Glad to hear you are healing up well, and I am sure you will have the bike better then ever at a third of the cost of a new one. If your racing ever brings you into Ohio let me know and I would like to meet up with you and your crew. I look forward to riding with you at the end of the summer!

Hey Ryan

Hey man just wanted to throw in my well wishes also. Heal up quick, but don't rush it.
Take care

HOLY SHIT! That stuff's probably like little friggin' ball bearings. Glad you had no long lasting effects. The short term ones will probably come out with a good trip through the washing machine!

Took the Wimmins to lunch

Yesterday, what a great day to be out. In fact , it's a great one today too. I'm leaving just after this post. Anyhoo.........We stop to check out my cabin, seems a little yard work is in order.

The pics are from my phone, so cut me a little slack here.

Across the top of Windmill Gap. Man, what a view.

Into the head waters of Pinnacle Creek, that's an ATV campground in the bottom.

I'm eat up with em' here, ATV's that is. I need some help guys.

So, we are setting at the lunch table in Ashland minding our own business when.......two Katooms come blasting past the window. My spidey senses were the only to pick up on it. I let out a gutteral ooohh, ooohhh, and Martha turns around in here chair. I think she was trying to catch me wreckless eyeballin.

I grin and don't respond, well you know I get "The Look".

We finish lunch with a kind of tense silence. When we suit to leave, I inform the crew I have to make a stop in the KOA campground just up the street(following my spidey senses). You are all welcome to come, or you can wait at the entrance.

Well, Red and Petunia pull off at the entrance, Martha is going to follow me to the end. A short ways into the the campgound and I find what I was looking for, two Katooms, adventures I might add. Man do they look outta place. I put the Beemer on the side stand and walk up with a smile. Turns out to be OSW Rider.

We swap a few lies, I point them toward the outlaw side of the county, Martha smiles at me , and I leave with a feeling that all is not lost. This is a small world.

Now, I think I'm going to ride before Lucille gets another bath.

TKC on the rear, karoo on the front. The front tire is new, only about 600 mile on it. I bought the karoo on the third trip around looking for something better, can't tell much difference in it and the TKC front. It may actually be a little worse in the mud, but it is spring time here in the hills(slimy).

I made the dealer put the Conti's on before I brought her home, nothing else to compare to other than MT21's on a Dr650 or on a DRZ400. They of course don't hold a light to those in the bush.

Both the Conti and Metz do fine on the tarmac, I won't know on wear of the Metz for a couple hundred though.

I found that the Karoo's wore through pretty quickly, a couple thousand, max, on my 950 Adventure. TKC's wore better, got about double that on the front and it had life left in it. The rear was shot after about 2500 or so.
