Greetings,

I'm heading out to Snowshoe on Friday and taking my XR 650 L with me to hopefully ride on Saturday. The weather isn't looking particularly promising, but I keep my fingers crossed.

I figure it was. I was thinking that the water would be way up, with all the rain. Kinda thought it would be fun.

Anyway I get outta here at 6 o'clock and plan on flying home so I can atleast get an hour of daylight riding in. When are you going back to work?

The trip home was to say the least interesting. I went the route you and I talked about, thru Sugar Creek into Arvilla, and down Mt. Carmel. The roads weren't to bad, a lot of water and and some mud. I was feeling pretty good about myself, so I decided to speed up and blast thru some water. You know how it is.

Anyway about a mile and a half before I droped down onto Middle Island Creek I come around a turn and there, parked in the middle of the road taking a piss is a couple of guys.

at least pull the freaking truck of to the side of the road. Just barley got stoped without laying it down. Once I pryed my seat out of my ass, took a couple deep breaths and recited the lords prayer. I was good to go. I thought. Anyway, it seemed as though ever turn I came around there was some form of wildlife that had a death wish. Deer (by the dozen's), cats, and one very large dog who thought he wanted to have some TKC 80 for dinner. Instead all the mut got was a mouth full of gravel

All I can say is I learned a few lesson's tonight. Deer are the dumbest animals in WV, drunks dont care were the piss, and dogs dont like gravel in their teeth. I cant complain to much though, after all I did get to ride.

Kinda late, but I'll be tooling around the Canaan, Dry Fork, Glady area tomorrow on the KLR. If anybody wants to hook up, drop me a line.

Might take the trout pole along with me... Just in case the natives get restless

Well Jeff rode in from Pa. on Thursday, and with temps. being in the upper 50's today we decided to hit the road. We rode about 70 miles of primarly gravel and dirt roads. We did manage to get into several water crossing's even though the water was up which was nice. Here are a few pics.

First order of buisness was gas.

I made it thru okay, Jeff though....well lets just say he went off the deep end.

We made a little pit stop at Reeses country store for some good hotdogs and a coke.

Once we got back we had to do a little adjusting on Jeff bike. Skid plate must have taken a whack and nerf bar adjustment was needed.

What happened to your fender bag? Lose it?

Yeah, it came off after leaving your house Thursday. I didnt put it back on instead I just put it it my tank bag. I gotta make a brace for my fender. That bag is to heavy for it.

Just be nice when I tell you I'm only coming for the day on Saturday. But I'm bringing Jrockrat with me. So I get points for that.
