The turn signals I can slide by on, because lots of Harleys running around don't have them either.
Just use LED turn signals direclt from the battery, they do not require much juice.

well technically it needs a horn, hi/low beam as well, plus the brake light needs to be activated from the front and rear brake levers.

Transfer the VA title to a WV title. Get a tag + some insurance and call it good.

That is my plan, was going to do it this week but didn't feel like driving to Morgantown and putting up with DMV stupidity.

yeah but find an inspection station or trooper that actually knows the law.

When they inspected my bike at the DMV when I took the motorcycle endorsement test, they said both sources for braking had to activate the brake light.

Im with Hillbilly, screw the state when 1/2 the vehicles I pass on the road EVERY day are SxS and Atv's. I have tag and insurance, good enough for me, hell thats more than most have on their car anymore and definitely more than any damn ATV or SxS.

Although my neighbor did get pulled over on his ATV last year. Trooper stopped him, same trooper that passes me regularly in the mornings doing 75+ in a 55, hell im usuallly doing 65 when he passes me. 70+ y/o man on his worn out foreman. He litterally rides down Rt62 for a 1/4 mile from his driveway to the end of mine to head up the hill to the barn and garden. The troopers complaint, he is riding in a section where there is guardrail and no berm for the atv to move over for traffic. Fair complaint based on the amounts of accidents in that 1/4 mile stretch. Neighbor said 4 ATVS and 2 SxS went blasting by WHILE he was pulled over. Trooper didnt even bat an eye in their direction

this state is screwed up. We worry about tags and being legal when there are 14 year old kids riding dirtbikes and quads up the main roads with zero worry and zero reprecussions. Really pisses me off.

You know what really grinds my gears? (family guy). You've got kids running all over town here in Eleanor on atv's, golf carts, sxs's with no belts helmets or any type of safety equipment on and the police don't look twice. Ride a dirt bike down the road in full gear and see what happens. Ticket for sure.

How's the knee doing man?

Eleanor can be a pain in the ass, we used to get hassled by the town cop for riding bicycles on the sidewalk but the old farts could run golf carts up and down them all day long.

Knee is getting there, about another week or so and I hope to start riding little bit. Been getting a little better every day. Knee brace supposed to be here tomorrow! I went out the other day and cut that tree down, that I crashed on. I know it was my fault and not the trees, but it did make me feel a little better.
