I think I'm the only guys who buys KTM stuff from them.

Lot of quadtards and cruiser riders where I live.

They are getting a new building ready there, outgrew the old location and they hope to move soon.
It's good to see a new business grow, I get tired of seeing all the old ones closing

With some help, the carbs were finally put back onto my bike. She has oil, and gas, so I decided to try to get her to start tonight. No battery on her yet, so I tried to kick start. Turned the fuel reserve to the on position, and immediately fuel starts to leak from the very front, where the little turn knob thing is, and from one of the float bowls... I definitely know now that I need new gaskets, but I have no idea what I should do about the petcock...really hoping I don't need to replace it, but I have NO clue...

Anyone know what could be going on??

If it is o-rings in the petcock, take them out and to like an O'Reilly's or similar. They should be able to match you up with some o-rings. Maker sure they are buna-n or nitrile. I have bought nitrile sheet from grainger before to cut rubber gaskets. Grainger could probably get you correct o-rings as well. If there is a diaphragm in the petcock, try not to damage it or you will have to go through like bikebandit or cheapcycleparts. So I would try rebuilding petcock.

Actually, most of the new fuels require Viton orings. You can't go wrong with Viton in fuel service. Buna may work in a pinch, but it is not as good. Most petcocks have either an o-ring or a ported rubber gasket behind the knob with a spring washer providing tension.

Any Napa has a good o ring selection.
Hell, I have two sets of o rings in my work truck.

But I have it in Connecticut, so that ain't much help.

Anybody here know of a road west of Alpena that runs north along Shavers Fork? Is it any good? Where does it go?

HalfPlate, I'm not sure which road you are talking about.

According to my WV map book, the Shavers Fork ends south of Rt 33/55 and is not near Alpena.

Maybe one of the inmates around Elkins can help.

One of those roads are dirt/gravel and runs north out of Stuart rec all the way to parsons. That's the one on the east side of the river.

That is it, fun road or nothing special?

Its ok, just a nice ride along the river. Some muddy areas, but it was a couple of years ago and I was on the Ural, probably more fun on a DS bike. You can hop across 33 and head south to Bemis/Glady. Connecting the two routes you can ride from Parsons to Durbin on like 80% gravel/dirt/FS roads.

my idea of fun vs not fun road tends to be skewed so take my advice with a grain of salt.

FYI the Alpine Lodge at Alpena has pretty good breakfast.

Good guys, have to do a lot of oddball part finding for me.
They order stuff for me no matter if they have ever heard of it or not.

Had them get me a Scott filter for the SD. Told them what it was and Rob calls me back.

"Is this right? $85 for an oil filter!"

Yep, that's it.

OK, it'll be here Thursday.
Are they located right on Rte. 7? I avoid the Morgantown dealer like the plague and would be happy to travel to Kingwood for parts...
