Bob seems to know every road in this part of the state. Ask him when he wants to trade me bikes.

We went out the creek yeaterday, it was wet, slick, and nasty. Still had a good time.
I even cleaned the bike up, trying to keep it looking good for a while although the stuff we ride doesn't help.

Noticed a wet spot under the EXC, looks like one of the coolant hoses has a hole worn in it where it rubbed the frame.
Are these close in size to a heater hose or do I just need to get a set of the silicone ones.

It is the one on the left side that comes into a Y going into the engine.

I saw a lot of rocks this weekend. Butt is still sore from where one tried to get intimate with me.

Picked up a Vee Rubber Tackee. Interesting tire. Offroad intermediate tread pattern made with trials compound. Pretty anxious to see how it works. Now just have to get inspired to put it on. Anyone here ever tried one?

I've not tried one but I just put a Michelin X light on the GasGas.

Goldentyre makes one that looks like a trials with every other set of lugs missing.

Crap I just need to get time to order the correct stator for my 300. I ordered an eom one but turns out it had been converted to 2003 stator/flywheel. Doh!

Way to go. Better get on it. I am also on lookout for inexpensive suspension upgrades for my wife's klx140. Kx80/85/100 stuff works best. Kx 100 wheels would be good too. I know you are good at spotting stuff.

Last week while on vacation over in the mountains, where there is no cell sevice,
We get hit at home with a huge flash flood. Loosing several items from the barn including
One KTM 990 and one BMW 650 GS . Once we are back home, 4 days later, clean up begins . Ins totaled both bikes and cover assessories . Finally have things cleaned up and looking good. Flash forward to today ( no pun intended ) I get upfor work and head out at 3:30 am. No problem till I'm about 3 miles from the house and the road is a raging white water river. I have seen this when the rain hits really hard on one side of the hill. When i left my place the creek crossing was low and clear. So I'm headed home and come up to my creek crossing , which when you're coming in is around a bend in the road. So I slow down and take a good look, just a little muddy and hasn't risen more than an jnch or so. So I start across and BAM ! Out of no where there is a ton of friggin water slamming into the side of the car spinning me sideways and down the creek. Out the passenger window I go as it was the closest to the bank.

Needless to say,

My Ins co loves me
Holy crap mike! That's epic! So sad you lost your bikes to the flood :( at least replacement shopping should be fun.

WV dualsports,check in

Did I pass one of our WV riders up on Rich Mountain outside of Elkins today? Red jacket, black? KLR or older F650, silver happy trails boxes. I was headed down on my blue 640 adv wearing a yellow jacket. Turned around to catch you at the top but you must not have stopped. Beautiful day for a ride.

Good deal. I was on my way to Walmart the long way round. A buddy had told me about a bunch of trails on top of Rich Mountain so I went exploring a bit. Got just a taste but it appears there are a ton of fun old roads up there. Looks like it gets mostly atv/sxs use.
