Need help with a Putnam Co trail

Currently I live in Parkersburg, but am considering relocating to Putnam Co. We've looked at a couple houses in Winfield. While looking at Google Earth and Bing Maps, I've notice a large area (2500 acres) that lies between Hurricane Creek Rd, Rt 35 and Sugar Camp road.

Anyone know anything about this area? Putnam Co tax maps indicate the property is owned by Pardee Resources (a natural resource holding company).

Any other places to ride in the Winfield/Hurricane area?

That probably the area we call Boyer woods. There used to be an extensive trail network all over. The new 4 lane cut it up pretty bad And now there are gates everywhere. I'm sure there is still some riding over there to some extent. Lots and lots of super greasy nasty ass red clay.

Really good trail riding around charleston. Decent dual sporting in Putnam, mason, Jackson, roane, all around really.

I'm in the Pburg area. Grew up there. Are you from there? I do a lot of dual sporting around here.

I live in Winfield and that is Boyer woods and a real estate company posted all of it. You can still ride across Sugar Camp road. There is some riding behind the county park in Eleanor. Really good mountain bike trails there also. There is about 20 miles of single track. There is a lot of gravel in this area. Look me up when you come this way and we will ride and explore.

Nice

Dunno how much riding you guys did this weekend, but it's muddy beyond belief here.
And I didn't go off of the dirt roads.

I didn't ride yesterday, nice and warm but the rain sucked.
So I worked in the garage for a bit.
Merry Christmas to me!

I didn't ride much, just sort of putted around.
Then looked at the bike and was thinking "why the hell did I do this?"
