Check with the ranger districts of the campgrounds you are looking to visit.
Many up here are not open yet.

Some of the NF campgrounds are open, some not.

We'll be good guest, legal, quiet, and friendly.

Looking at the map it looks like there's good forestry roads south of Seneca Rocks. Ridin the north side before.
Might be just as easy to base out of Laurel Forks.

Why does this always happen to me.
Plan a simple 3 day ride in WV and the wife packs like she's going for a month.

wait a minute.
No honey, I don't think were going to need that gallon jug of shampoo.

Been there done that. I have a friend of a friend who bought a Gold Wing Trike. Had to buy a trailer to hold all of his wife's necessities.

Also know a guy and his wife who made a custom trailer with HVAC for their wiener dog.

Headed to Manassas Va sometime soon via 50/42/48/55 to I-81.

Taking the Road King 2up with the Mrs.

Any reports on the condition of those roads after this winter's handiwork?

Rt 50 east of Bridgeport is a potholed mess.
It looks like a mortar range nearly all the way to the MD state line.

I rode over heaves in the pavement that had my Superduke in the air.
This is not ideal for this motorcycle.

I have just been riding straight south into Tucker Co, I live in Preston Co and ALL the roads there are a bombed out mess.

Whelp it looks like the Mrs and I will be trudging through the mountain on I-68/I-70. Still a good ride for a superslab but I was wanting to run the new superslab (55) through Moorefield to Wardensville.

PS: Thanks for the info

Why not drop down to Elkins and run 33 to Harman, then North on 32 to Davis, Rt on 93 and hop on Corridor H at Scherr?

That route has crossed my mind more than once. Any idea of the conditions of 33/32/93?

Mostly they are pretty good. It was a tough winter so there will be rough spots here and there. Nowhere near as bad as 50 or 72 though.

In case you weren't aware, you can now get on Corridor H at the end of 93 near the intersection with 42, just before the gas station.
