Finally picked up a bike for the girlfriend. Found a 2006 DR-Z400S with 2800 miles on it for $3500. Not a steal by any means, but it looks great and I wanted one so... What the hell?

Looking to do an overnight this weekend if we get nice weather on Sun/Mon. Anyone know of a good place to camp that won't be packed full of RVs on Memorial Day? This will be her first dirt outing so I'm not looking for anything more technical than a dirt/gravel road. I thought about maybe doing the Sods but again, the whole Memorial Day situation has me a bit concerned.

I know some camping spots, if you don't need a campground.
My favorite state campground is Horseshoe.
Call them to see if it's open.

If you want some other spots PM me.

Could always go up the williams river and grab a camping spot but you'd probably need to be there Thurs evening.

Those full up very fast, the only ones that usually stay open are clear up at the head waters a few miles past day run campground. Day run has even been getting a lot of traffic the past couple of years. Be sure to pay because the rangers always check on Williams.

Nice thing on the williams though is there's soo much space between them that it's pretty private even on holidays *if* you can get a spot...and it's also close to some good riding.

Yea, unfortunately I'll only be able to do an overnight at best so that's out. I'm going to try and just find a random spot in the Mon Nat'l Forest.
