That's a good route for sure... if we can get Brent out on the bike for some more local gnarly routes it'll make for more photo ops!

How was this section? I might take Wvtrailsmith thru there Friday from north to south.
I have a half worn K270 on my DR and it doesn't like mud.

Thanks. Looks like fun. Hope I can try them out.. Spent last two evenings getting my bike ready. Put on new skid plate, seat, rack, The SPOT and change the oil. But didn't get time to put on the map switch and ABS dongle.

Well, we did it on a stock KLR with knobs and DRZ with 17" street tires. Never had to get off the bike, but thought for a while we might have to turn around.

We did it when it was really dry. If it is wet it will be a lot harder.

If you are running north/south, the hardest part will be in the first stretch immediately after you go through the campground. If you have to turn around, there are gravel roads to the east.

Have a great ride, and I will be riding on Saturday maybe we can get together.

BTW bring that thing south, I'm leading a DS ride the weekend of the Hawk rally from TWO. will be good fun. since I don't have a "real" street bike any more. :)

Jeff? Bring that whatever you've got up this way. Camp on the Greenbrier River with us! I will likely bring the KLR down to GA. Unless I source an EXC before then. But, I may be buying a CB1 and Hawk in a package deal, so there's that possibility as well. Decisions, decisions.

What sort of EXC ya looking for?
I have a 200 with a WV street title that I would part with.

Preference goes to the 450 EXC. Want it for running around and a little singletrack, as opposed to a lot of singletrack and a little running errands. Send me a PM to discuss.

Thanks PR. I rode it by myself three or four years ago and the mud holes probably haven't gotten any shallower. It rained here all Wednesday night and on & off today so it's going to be really nasty Friday. I wish now that I had brought the WR-F instead of the DR.
I'll be headed back home Saturday. I'll try to catch you another time.

04 EXC, I'd say it's at about 4K miles. Odometer was at 3700 miles.
Far from pretty, looks like it has been ridden in the woods because it has.

It's a nice bike, I just don't ride as much as it deserves.
PM me for more details.

Met up with Wvdirtbiker for a little ride on Saturday in Pocahontas County. What a great day for a ride! It rained the day before so there wasn't a lot of dust and the weather was perfect, in the low 70's. Wvdirtbiker is a great tour guide and no slouch on a bike either. I didn't take too many pics but here are a few.

Here's wvdirtbiker I think we were on FR 55

The trusty steed's

20 miles of this road not a bad thing.

Pulling in to camp

Thanks again wvdirtbiker, had a great time hope we can do it again sometime.
