I'll try to get some pictures later.

Glad you fared OK, John.

Got the bike all loaded up, Stofte's DRZ on board as well. Just have to throw some extra clothes and riding gear in and I'm ready to roll in the morning.

Scouting

I had to go to Wheeling earlier this week on business. I had to take the truck, but did get to scout some areas to ride.

Has anyone run Whetstone creek? It's a couple of miles southeast of Graysville. I made it about halfway up and it got a bit too rough for a standard 4WD truck. I circled back and crossed it again at little Southwest of Saint Joseph. Maps show the trail ending just before that point, but it appears the CREEK is being used for the road on the last section. Nice area, roots, rocks, creek crossings.

Crow Run south out of Reader was nice. Walnut Fork down into Braden was really nice.

Does anybody ride that area?

Rafting in WV?

Well I had some friends from HS that was checking out some pics of the fling I had and although they dont have bikes right now they are interested in us meeting up to do some rafting and WV would be a great middle ground to meet. So my question is if anyone can suggest a good place to go rafting that will provide a great time without killing a guy? Plus It gives me an excuse to ride the awesome scenic roads again sooner then I had thought. Thanks for all input thrown my way and if anyone is interested in hooking up with us the more the merrier, we just want to have great time and some laughs around a fire at night so good camping spots would also help.

I'd say any of the New River Gorge outfitters would be your best bet. Class VI, Songer, ACE etc, are all reputable river runners. If you think the New is too big there is always the Cheat in Tucker/Preston County.

Probably way too much actually. They aren't quite finished but they are in working condition.
