Conditions -- Crown King, Tip top and Table Mesa

A group of us are trucking from NM to Camp Verde the day after Xmas. We plan on doing a 5 day ride that has us going to Yuma and back.

Right now we plan on heading down via Crown King -- does anyone know wheter there is snow up at that elevation?

On the way back we plan on riding Tip Top from Lake Pleasant and then heading east to the GW trail via Table Mesa. Any updates on those routes would be appreciated as well. Have read some information that Table Mesa may be washed out.

Thanks in advance

Another Option: Camp Verde is right on the Great Western Trail heading down to Nogales.

Thanks for the response

There will be six of us. 3 on 690's, a 640 Adv, XR650R and a 530EXC.

Good to hear about the lack of snow.

I could send you the tracks for our plans if your interested.

Forgot to mention

We are planning on picking up the GWT on the way back from its intersection with the Table Mesa road.

crown king: even when they get snow the main rds are kept decent enough to not bother dual sports too much

tip top area: there are sections hundred yards long with baby heads, you guys will be fine on those bikes if you are confident on them, but it could make for a little workout as part of a long ride loaded up.

table mesa rd: officially closed temporarily due to flood damage but not barricaded or anything so you could ride it if you want but the section thats washed out is long and looks like a rock crawling competetition course. its not gonna be enjoyable but if your group takes turns getting the bikes through the rest of the rd is still an awesome ride.

Thanks guys, this is just the information we are needing. We are doing point to point riding. With the short winter days, it sure helps to know we should not have to do any significant back tracking.
