washed up and tired as fuck!

i have to say a HUGE thank you to Jamin for lending me his XR650L so i could ride today! AND for driving me out to San Francisquito!

this was my first ride since my accident and it was GREAT!

my wrist is just a little bit sore, but not painful at all. just what's to be expected.

i dropped the XRL a few times

i plan to join the breakfast klub next week to ride Rowher !

Jamin, Kiecker and Tuff Enuff kicked ass!

thanks guys!

DriverDain and I did Rowher this am. What a difffernce from earlier this year. Had a small get off getting up the hill. Nothing bad

I think we saw Purelick as we were resting between rides. Rowher trail to the top and the sissy way down the hill.

I can say that I am walking down hill less and stand on the pegs more.

Looking to do this again.

Pictures when DD sends me some. I forgot my camera .

Only three of us showed up for this one. Meeting place was the McDonald's in Granada Hills.

The plan was to make it to the Slash X near Barstow for lunch. No problem.
Not many photos for this trip. We didn't stop much either.
There was a mix of just about everything today. Some good, some just average. I put together a few tracks from Mapsource, and that can be hit or miss. All in all, it was fine. Much better riding than sitting on a couch.

Extra cool

That way

Ami and his bitchin' bike

Made it to the Slash X by 1100

Roger and Ami

Beer is good

Burger was just a burger

Die bitch!

I literally had to fight this gal off in the bathroom. She wanted a piece of me.

Plenty of room for an ADV gathering

The ride home was pretty plain. A few more Mapsource let downs, but not too bad.

Silver Lakes

Boring...

Roger

We were here

Casualty of the day. I fought the branch and the branch won. Flesh wound for the brokeback beemer.

Roger bailed around Pearblossom. Ami and I pushed on. We hit some pretty nice stuff. Even found a boat we could have for free. Yes, I said free. Can you believe it?

6N04 I believe it was. Only 73 degrees here. Bouquet reservoir in the distance.

Nice

More

Hello Ami

Good bye Ami

Nice riding today. I only saw 93 degrees at our hottest spot today. Not bad.
We definitely found a few trails not worth repeating. Most was nOOb friendly. I'll work on pruning some of the bad stuff out. I would do the ride again, though.

Thanks to Ami and Roger for riding along.

Razr Returns!

After in Silver Lake I Jamin and Razr out to the start where we met up with Tuff Enuff. Soon we were off riding the fire roads, however, where there are hills Razr must climb.

1 of ???

Sorry Jamin.

Woohoo!

Jamin.

Tuff Enuff.

Search and Rescue was out looking for a man missing since Monday.

The views were beautiful.

If you look close two bikes are at the top.

By the time Jamin and Razr made it to the bottom it was time to check out the Razr modifications. Let's start with the burning fork oil on the exhaust.

Notice the modified adjustment screw at the top of the fork.

Fork protector.

Although he did try to pretty-up his tires.

Anyone need a hand guard? Even comes with a mustache. :ymca

And let's not forget the shifter.

Jamin.

Hey Jamin, check this out. The KLR could never spin like this!

I guess I can't either.

Finally we made it to The Rock Inn for lunch where Razr called his girlfriend to check in on how his ride was going.

"Ummm babe. I'm in the hosptial."
"WHAT???"
"Just kidding."

Click.

Redial.

"Hey babe, I'm really really sorry and I'm a complete asshole and ....."

After lunch it was reverse route back to the trucks.

I parted ways and headed out to Spunky Canyon and then to Rowher to familiarize myself more with the OHV. While not paying attention on a small climb I went down and heard metal only to find my bash guard was loose with only 2 of 4 bolts. Oh, and my subframe only had 3 of 4 and all of those were really loose.

Great riding with Razr, Jamin, and Tuff Enuff. Really good seeing you back on the trails Razr.

hahaha yeah, you got pics of each drop. oops

it's funny how much different the XRL is compared to the KLR. XRL feels like a heavy dirt bike while the KLR is a street bike with knobbies.

the ride was a blast and i can't wait for that check so i can purchase my own bike.

i'll have my version of the ride report later.

Headed north Friday evening to meet Javier in the Piutes.

Arrived at the cabin late. Javier arrived later. Tim and Dave arrived very very late.

Even after a late night the sun still rises...

Wakey, wakey...

It was to be a 950 fest today.

Many of you might not know this... Javier can tame wild animals. Either that or he really can ride fast enough to catch deer.
