let's get on the rr....

got to mcD's at 8:30 am.

ami sneaked up on me

everyone was on time... even the klr.net riders....

this ride sucked in a lot of big bikes...

allyson, one of the klr riders...

unfortunate for one rider, dead battery; here's randyM tying a tow rope

pull started and didn't work

we always try not to leave any rider behind... lucky i have a jumper cable and got this rider going...

stunning sky, great weather; and the motors are humming, now we're all ready to ride...

Dead battery and a "ready to ride" is an incomplete ride report!

from mcDs we jumped on the 15S and dirt was on the next off ramp...

bottom of cleghorn....

the practicality of d/s bikes, we get to cool and high places...

even the slower riders get to pass me...

rolling farther away from the freeway

here's a good one for those who never stop and admire the beauty of this place

our ride leader sito...

tired of lurking, scorpion rode with a bad shoulder and ankle...

rsc_e on another ktm

foulplug's first ride with us and handled that gs very well (almost... )

randyM, this ride's official videographer..

cleghorn wasn't too bad in most sections

Don't worry Joel. The last time Scorpion did this ride with the LA Wknd Group, he went home too. Had a problem with his fuel pump. But he was back yesterday. If the guy wants to ride he'll fix his bike and be back. If not he'll stick with the KLR gang next time.

good to see the off shoots were open..sito and the big balls went charging

this place was awesome...if you ride slow enough...

chris got stranded at the one of the bypasses and finally showed up

lucky, the damage on the gs was slight and the only one on this ride.

in the shade waiting for the last rider

stewstew

unusual to see a klr roosting and with this much dust...

it kills me to see a trail that i barely survived has a green circle...

end of cleghorn...and no one got hurt..

stewstew making the klr salute...

hey dave when the doc fixes your ankle, have him add 4 inches to your legs...

We're all better off because of it.

The less Harley riders on the road, the better.

Sorry, no pic's of the GS taking a nap with its face in stuck in a drop-off when a drop off a big bolder didn't go as planned. It was too hot and by the time Sito helped me get her upright, we just wanted to get moving.

Gotta love friends when they help ya get your heavy weight DS upright w/o more damage than need be. Love her dearly, but man!, I wish she would go on a diet!

Great pics Joel. keep em coming!

Don't rule out rear brake seizure.

Great pictures and nice report so far Joel. Keep it coming. It's helping me procrastinate.

I am not part of the Harley bashing group....

After all, how many KTM's, Husky's, or KLR's come with this accessory ??

Seems like many Harley's do !

Riding sand on slicks is usually a bad idea. Where is that? I don't remember sand on Cleghorn.
