Good thing I have been busy getting Honey do done. No problem, I will check my shop manual.

As I rebuild the xr650L I may hit you up for some advice.

for sho, i will ride saturday...where ???? but prefer to ride the higher elevations towards june lake.

sunday is a definite wmrs via silver canyon and down on wyman creek. did both of them last year and it was awesome. then, turn around and do the reverse, back to my truck that will be parked at laws (bishop)
I've never been and have no plans other than hit some easy trails and see what needs to be seen.

about 5 or 7 of us will stay at the motel 6 in mammoth on friday and sat nights.

hi duy. cool if you could ride with us. others who PM'd me about the riding plans, here's the PLAN....

FRIDAY - still iffy????

SATURDAy is an INTERMEDIATE ride. post it here or pm me if you wants to join us. there's an advanced group heading to bishop and ride to COYOTE flats - contact mike (nowwhat).

the route - explore the mammoth area, ride north to higher elevations including the trails east of june lake, and south of tioga pass. this will be 90% dirt. advanced riders on big bikes and intermediate riders on 650cc or less.

lunch will be at tioga toomey next to the gas station as you enter tioga pass from the 395.

after lunch, we fuel up, turn around and explore the mammoth area east and west of the 395, which will bring us to the town of mammoth for a nice dinner....

if you're camping at browns, there are no showers after 4pm (???). be our guest, bring your trunks and jump in the motel 6 pool. we don't want to see nekkid men....

i have gps tracks only for those riding with us, send me an email at jpaez@bcas.com.

SUNDAY RIDE - Intermediate Riders

stage at bishop. ride up on silver canyon, check out wmrs, ride down to wyman, then back to bishop (reverse the wyman - silver canyon). dinner in bishop or any of the little towns on the way home after bishop.

there's one hill that is a challenge on silver canyon; you have an option to go around and take the highway.....it's a looooong way but scenic! ask an advanced rider to ride your bike on that hill if the condition is beyond your skill level....no reason to be ashamed.

those riding from mammoth to bishop, i have a gps track of a dirt road from browns camp to bishop. again, if you're riding with us, send me an email at jpaez@bcas.com for the track.

I'm really hoping to make the WMRS ride. Lot of new stuff getting done at Javier's. Haven't even looked at how'd I get to/from yet (riding or finding a truck) and/or where I'd be sleeping. Bike first, then the other stuff.

Looks like Spafixer is taking his time going through SF.

Spot is a neat tool. Just what I need another thing that I have to buy.

Joel, I was planning on camping @ Browns but that may change since I'm coming up with John (Ridder) and Tom (Ti-D-Bowl) and I believe they're lodging with you guys @ the M6.

my room mates have not confirmed yet if they're coming. you can have the other bed if you want. motel 6 is on the main street and 4 miles from the 395 or 22 miles from brown's camp.

plenty of locals that will be camping, check out stonewall's list. if you choose to camp, break away from them guys once you get to benton crossing rd.

anyone planning to go to mammoth lakes, which you will if you need gas or have dinner, there's a dirt road that will take you near downtown. search for sherwin creek rd.

cool, then i don't need to worry about running out of gas either....

as long you have 100 miles of fuel range, you'll be in good shape..i think..
