hey jim, i had a great day riding saturday, i like the pace and it was relaxing, just like on vacation. anyway, thanks for sticking together to the very last dirt section.

the sunday ride was fast paced...everything was on fast forward. the PPs were breathing on my neck all the time. i enjoyed it too, and learned a lot from the pucking pucks...

nowwhat and riddler need to mellow down and enjoy the view....

At some point I sat on the bike and it rolled backwards while in first gear and I could hear the engine turning. At that point I realized that it was not the carb. I had checked the valves and tested the bike at home before leaving so that is probably not the problem. I won't have a chance to look into it for a few days.
Some times is just a spark plug failure you should look first

My WR250 2 smoke with green sticker only.

So, no valve adjustments, just a quick once over, since I'll be riding it next Sat at Gorman/national forest for some single track warm up!

Will be there by 8 AM Sat, ride all day, camp, head back Sun late AM.

Calduc and I are heading up to Toad Springs Campground over by Pine Mountain Club up the hill from Frazier Park in the morning. . . Leaving the SFV around 7 or so should be up there by 8:30 or 9. Just looking to run some stuff as we're both noobs. The more the merrier if anybody wants to join in on the fun.

WMRS 2010 - - - TH --- July 29, 2010

so here's my Ride Report (i'm known for being late or never doing them)

so a little back story for those that don't know me or my situation...

i got hit by a car on May 1. i broke my right wrist (scaphoid) and left two ribs
after a 2 + month recovery and no bike (KLR got totalled), i had done 2 rides on Jamin_Mathis's XR650L up and near Rowher.

but my settlement is still dragging on and i have no money to buy the bike i've been eyeballing a bike, but still, no money yet.
in swoops Treadless...... he had sold some truck parts and was going to buy a track bike, but is no hurry to do that, so he offered to loan me the money to buy my bike and i will pay him once i get my settlement (in the next few weeks).

this all happened on Wednesday, a day before we were leaving.

Thursday morning, this arrives.......

by this guy

exactly one hour later and barely a ride around the block on my new bike, Luv2race shows up and loads up my bike.

WMRS - - - FRI July 29, 2010

Friday morning i woke up still drunk.

we were off to Coyote Flats.

attack dog

me and my new bike

cyclists

only a few miles on my new bike and i love it

found some single track before Coyote Flats

I LOVE MY BIKE ! ! !
HUGS

first break

such amazing beauty

a couple of guys on XR650R's come by

one of the guys had to help me kick my bike after i tried for 5+ minutes (the E-start is not working, Javi and i are meeting up later to do a few adjustments)

(i got used to kicking it later, no throttle at ALL when kicking the 525)

this blurry dude is going fishing

beautiful colors everywhere

little bird checkin us out

look at her

John's bike is my kickstand

technical

super sandy not easy hillclimb

we were soooo beat. both of us had too much Patron tequila the night before and we were dehydrated and the altitude got to us at the top of Coyote Flats at roughly 10,500 feet.

coming down we took a few breaks.

once we were down we hauled on a dirt road then a county road to Bishop.

in Bishop, we stopped at Schat's Bakery for some Jalapeno Chili Bread and fresh squeezed OJ.
after getting cooled down next to the AC vent, we rode Casa Diablo dirt road back.

i drank only water tonight. i needed to hydrate before our Glass Mtn loop ride the next day....
