Hmmm...what to do?.....I don't want to screw up the pretty carbon fiber tank guards I just put on to cover the damage from my last little dirt sample, a high side on very hard pack, shit that one hurt! At least I'm healed and not sticking to the sheets anymore!

I'd love to do that, if I could figure out how. I would not bother with the 500 because of the suspension and old school geometry. Now if I put the 500 motor in the 250 frame....then....hmmm....naw..I want a 530 with that sweet electric starter!

To 690 or 950 that is the question??????? I think we need to start a list. I'm for a little of both, devils hole is really the only challenge and is worth the struggle once you get threw it. The temps in this are would be much better. It can be done on a big bike Riceless has done it a few times. .

When I first started riding I would ask the better riders how they improved thier skills. Answer: ride with people that are better then you and keep challenging yourself. If any one want to ride with me I can asure you I will wait and help you threw it. If you crash we will help you up and get you going (after we take a few pictures of you on your ass).

but be careful who you take, last weeks misery was in between the gun range and deep creek. the trail past devils hole is not a quad trail, its a hiking trail that is legal to ride. i will follow you up it, i havent ridden the dr650up that one yet, it will separate the men from the boys
if u have a choice of bike and would like to come w/me, please bring ur smaller bike, i dont think the DR would be well suited to what i want to do, and i dont want u to when u are picking up that pig over and over!
men and boys have nothing to do with it, it could BE done on the DR, but would be alot of work, riding should be fun, not a work out!

the trails past DEVILS hole is a motorcycle specific trail, not a hiking trail!

if u guys think ANY of the trails up there are hard wait till u get to kennedy meadows in a few weeks

ok girls, before we get carried away, let me remind that this ride was intended to be just another regular weekend ride; but we have a few guys who want to bring the ride to a higher level. let's do it, and i have no problem with that since it's now in its full swing.

we need everyone coming to post up again, but this time indicate what ride you're looking for so we can properly plan the ride.

keep in mind, there will be approximately 80 miles of dirt on the way up; save your energy for the ride home @ 50 miles of dirt plus your ride home on the pavement.

sito is looking for names....

Recreational Route (Mixed Easy and Hard)....
1. joel
2. chris - c-dub
3. luke - eggroll
4. danny
5. noel - dr (jeeping)

Advanced Route.....
1. scott - happy trails
2.
3.
