Sounds like a plan, and I'll bring my maps next time!

It'll be MUCH cooler, a lot less tourists, and nice that time of year!

Oh, Joel, if you make a left on Kuffel Rd in Lake Arrowhead, you end up on the 18 about 3 miles closer to BB than where we got onto the 18. Just FYI.

The Rosetta Stone

The Rosetta Stone
What is the Rosetta Stone?
The Rosetta Stone is a stone with writing on it in two languages (Egyptian and Greek), using three scripts (hieroglyphic, demotic and Greek).

Hi guys, sorry I didn't post when I got home yesterday, I did make it home fine. My apologies to the group I left Azteca's restaurant with, I did not mean to pass our leader (I can't think of his name) on the highway in traffic then I looked behind and the group was gone, so since I was just over riding any more than I had to, I just took the highway home.
What a great ride, I now feel like I know what the limits of my ability are when it comes to challenging situations on a big bike. I will never attempt Devil's Hole again on the 950A, but at least I know I can get through something like that without assistance if I have to, but man it was a biatch!

Special thanks to H8chains and Dunerat for organizing and chasing w/beer!

The next picture of Rob would be a better front page!
You too?

My bike ran like shit all the way to Azteca. So I had to peel out for home.
I finally made it to the rehearsal dinner over an hour late. My wife was stoked!

There was three BMW's on the advanced list yesterday. But I must say my up til 2:00am drink fest was not agreeing with me. Other than the water crossing, I dropped my bike 2 times and then piled into a bush while looking back down a trail while crossing on the side chutes.

Over all a fun as shit day, but I had more fuck ups in one day than I usually have all year.

Next time, I'm taking the CRF on that ride.

Hi guys, this is Dave the ringer from Sunday. Thanks everyone for wicked dirt dirt ride! I would have turned around at the end of the pavement. Luckily, monkey see monkey do and with all the pointers and support I received all day, we made it out alive! Thanks to Joel for keeping the group together and finding the way and the chase jeep driver! Awesome peeps you are!

Mine was uneventful I just crossed the stream (was a little deep) and the wave somehow flooded my air box? their was so much water in the air box I could have raised goldfish! After watching you do your bike mine was easy.

Joel was taking pictures of us cross so I'm sure he post it up. I was shocked that this crossing flooded the bike? now I'm going to be worried every time I cross a stream. You will see from the pic that it wasn't that deep? maybe 690 don't like to swim?

So I didntget many pics of the whole ride as we were riding, but managed to get some of the famous devils hole water crossing. Didn't get the pictures of the 990 crossing it as he was right behind me. Here's rob on his BMW

Looking forward for the next ride. November is much cooler and hope that river crossing are warm enough for another outdoor shower opportunity which most of our inmates enjoy.

My XT225 out powered with your monster KTM's, BMW's, and Metric bikes. I will need some advise how can I modify my 225cc engine and suspensions to keep up with the big boys....

Again... thanks to all who made our LA Weekend Ride a true Adventure.

Ride safe,
Gery (XT225)
