Again... thanks to all who made our LA Weekend Ride a true Adventure.

Ride safe,
Gery (XT225)
Gery, I was on the red Honda XR650L.

You ride that XT225 well, I was impressed by your skill, and hearing that engine constantly "screaming!"

I don't think there's much that can be done with that bike, your only real alternative is to get a larger displacement bike and have it lowered for you.

That rock strewn stream crossing was very tough, the darn rocks would just move under the tires and the bike just bucked and wobbled unpredictably in every direction possible.
I was wishing I had a much lighter bike, that's for sure
I'm lucky I didn't have an Austrian U-Boat!

Post away. We've all got those moments. Some are documented and some are not.

It's been almost two years since my last moneyshot. I relish each and every one of them. I'm going to use it as my screensaveron my computer.

That water was the perfect temp.

BTW, I noticed that I was the only one throwing a roost/wake from the entry point. What's up with that? Oh yeah, I guess this picture shows the result

I'm so proud of this pic that I already cross posted it over in Thumpers.

First off thanks to everyone in the advance group.....really good group of riders that played well together - great leading Sito Thanks Joel for putting it together, and to Dunerat for providing support and laughs.

Unfortunately I only had my camera phone with me on this ride so very few pictures.

This is the river crossing. Really nice and clear. Kind of hides how deep it is but at least you can see the some of the boulders.

After the river crossing there's some more boulders you have to negotiate. Long legs help.

Here's Wally looking for a line.

Sometimes over the big rocks is easier then around them

Tada!

After that it was a nice goat trail on an exposed cliff but fortunately we didn't have to air lift anyone's bike out.
