Nice reporting as usual Joel. Next time Eric asks to ride your bike, say "No, I'm doing this!" Let him start it if he wants though. What was that last rocky section before the bridge called? I remember having to go up that when I barely could ride smooth flat stuff. Never knew where it was exactly. It's two separate sections, right? One short one right before the bridge and one longer one further up.

Good to see you're heavy in the mix (NOT a pun about cutting down on desserts).
So what's KM?
Something for the A-list where I'm officially un-invited to? Going to KiliManjaro without me???

don't have the names

hi eric, there are 3 tough rocky sections. riding east to west, the first section was the least difficult. the 2nd and 3rd are both equally difficult. the last rocky section is only about 100 yards from the t6 bridge.

doing it from west to east....that is reserved for the very advanced riders.

Maybe after the JL class if a Tahoe shows up to school, I will send her home with an XR for the e-start install. I have permission from my to take some time after christmas and go to Tahoe. (She gets to hit the casinos while I ride around.) Haven't cleared any of this schedule with the Tahoes yet. Just a plan that popped into this n00bs brain.

bob, get the estart and ride the xr4. great bike and i swear by it. but don't stop there, get a med size bike for longer distances; take the gs for adventure riding.

Devils Hole looking so peaceful.

The lineup...Vern is ready

Then spafxr

The first section of the Rock Garden as you exit DH.

And the next section leading to the singletrack that punkenduro posted.

I loved the singletrack

I didn't grab my camera again until lunch time on Sunday. Overlooking the lake at Arrowhead Village.

Special thanks to Joel, Vern and Sito for providing the fun and assistance. Thanks also to The Rider, I think...

And to everyone else who rode ...BTW,

Joel, I'll trade you one pair of knee guards for a 40yr old ramp.

cool pics paul.

40 year old ramp...???? ; i'm seriously looking for a good quality knee guards and boots. the one i had didn't serve me well when i crashed....

E ...this is the Rock Garden" (middle sect. of 3)where those jeeps were getting stuck... we did this like 2 or 3 years ago in major noob status and wet n muddy, we sat at the bottom of this section for 15-20 mins. tripp'n and thinking "wtf" and trying to pick a line, we took the left line and was off camber where the guy in vid. goes up.. which is no longer, it's all a 3-4 ft step up or drop, a little more challenging going up now...unless you're YZLVR!
But going down is a cakewalk, way Noob friendly
Wanted to do this on the last Bear ride so Joel can get his game on and make it official…it’s done!
A shout to the Noobs fur step’n up to the black diamond… very fun day!!
I say we go UP this bitch next time… But needs H2O
Good to see ya in the saddle again little buddy!
...congrats Lonestar
