Joel,
I made the same mistake by wearing short
boots instead of my stronger long boots.
(I was thinking going to Pioneertown would
be a easier ride)
I went home with a big goose egg on my leg,
hit by my own bike's peg.

Great pictures!
It an amazement that you could took so many
pictures on this technical ride.

But going down is a cakewalk, way Noob friendly
Wanted to do this on the last Bear ride so Joel can get his game on and make it official…it’s done!
A shout to the Noobs fur step’n up to the black diamond… very fun day!!
I say we go UP this bitch next time… But needs H2O
Good to see ya in the saddle again little buddy!
...congrats Lonestar
Thanks Vernon. That climb definitely psyched me out when we did it. Then we rode into Crab Flats and you pissed that dude off at the campground when you rode to the shitter. I remember coming down that and it was nothing after going up. The thing I remember most was wondering how they built that big concrete bridge out in the middle of nowhere when you really couldn't get a truck out there. Remember that Robert dude was going to take us back the hard way, past those steel posts, but said we weren't ready for it? Did you guys do any of that area?

on to new things........
i bought this bike to ride and camp. when are we doing that?
doesnt have to be anything crazy. plenty of places to go local from the low deserts by salton sea/ glamis area, high desert like mojave, or even the top of fraiser mountain. all within easy riding distance. i would like to do something like this before i attempt a baja ride.

sunday at the pinnacles

sunday morning, there were 3 of us (sito and paul + me). dale got there an hour earlier and misssed him cuz we were late....

i was bummed out since dale offered to let me test ride his new husa 570....in a way, was good that i didn't, otherwise that bike would had its first nOOb kill...

anyway, we waited for half an hour for the other riders who were also running late.

a sign that not too many really had paid attention

we decided to ride on since lots of riders started showing up and soon the trails will be packed.

sito took us to some blue trails which more like black diamonds to me....

and the result.... i crashed 3 times that morning...

sure enough those riders in the staging area caught up with us and they were coming from the opposite direction

that trail was really a lot of fun and would love to do it again

sito and paul

in many sections, the trail looks more like a huge rut...

^ Damn, looks like you guys rode some nice trails Sat afternoon and Sun!

I'd like to hit that T6 and Sun Rut trails before it gets cold and the days get even shorter.

Were you planning on day tripping or camping? JOTR weather looks like near 100 during the day this weekend.
