funny, i just finished cleaning my air filter and half of the shit on it was from the bestard clean air hog....

hey all PPs, i'm organizing my phone list and contacts email info.

if you're coming to future rides and events, please email me at iwasedsel@yahoo.com the following info.

1. cell phone # and carrier
2. home phone #
3. email addy

1. i plan to set up something like a spotwalla so when we go riding someone who's home can monitor our movement.

2. if you want to volunteer as a contact help person, please let me know so we can add you to the spot message recipients.

3. change your spot message. i get 2 to 4 messages saying you're ok, but I DON"T KNOW who the sender. ex. joel is ok or joel needs help!

4. there's a possibility adv website will be down before a ride or an event. if there are changes in plan, we still the means to communicate.

5. please indicate if you want to share your info to peeps riding with us. no other else.

6. try not to send the info on the day or night before the ride or event when everyone is busy prepping up. i appreciate if you could send it over this weekend since i will be on the computer doing stuff.

big thanks

Joel, you might also consider getting from people the contact information of who they would like to be contacted in case of an emergency

I use the RoadId dog tags. It seems a bit of my riding is solo on the back roads. I think it cost my $25 but WE feel more secure knowing that my wife will get a call if I need help and can't speak for myself.

But i like what you are doing Joel. I'll PM you later.

Ice

Everyone should make sure they have an ICE (In Case of Emergency) contact plugged into their cell phone if you take your cell phone with you when you ride, it's a standard place for cops, medical teams and others to check.

I'll be back to my regular riding schedule next weekend, so if the weather's good, I'm itching to ride up there again!

Riceless Ride

Yeah there are closer places to ride than Riceless' back yard, but when you get a chance to spend the day riding from the Ranch Without Rice to Johnson Valley and back, YOU TAKE IT....

It was just the two of us today...so no photographer and very little time with the kickstands down...hell Riceless took the sidestand off the mighty 950...

Typical of one of these rides....See the trail?

Dunerat would have loved this....

We really do need Joel along to take some pro pics...but we would have to drop him in via helicopter...

Thanks Joel,

I've been riding for about 20 sumthin years...mostly street though...ZX10, GSXR1100, etc. This is my second dual sport. I had a DR650 that I used mainly on-road and some fire roads so I don't have a lot of dirt experience.

I actually met Earl up at newcombs last weekend...seemed like a nice guy...and somewhat sober \ /

BTW, I moved my post to the BS thread.

Thanks for the info!

Greetings!

That was the only riding I could manage to get in for several weeks.

Nice to meet you and hope to see you at future rides.

If you need any info on the XR650L, let me know, I have a pdf service manual.
