So... after the repair in Santo Tomas, We noticed that the coolant in the reservoir bottle was pretty low. We topped it off but could not get the radiator cap off to double check the level there. Anyway, there was still a little coolant in the reservoir, and very little evidence of dried coolant on the engine case, so we can look for a wrench in Erendira when we stop for breakfast (now more of a lunch).

Sorry Joel, no photos of the tacos.

After lunch Javier borrowed a wrench from the mechanic located next door to the taco stand. Hmmm... lets add some water... As soon as we did that, it was obvious that the repair was not holding, time for drastic measures.

As the repairs began, so did the conversation about the lack of coolant, the recent 12k service and what seemed to be a dealer mistake. Hey, it was either that or start drinking (more on that later).

on the bright side, if you're going to be stuck somewhere in baja, santo tomas is a pretty nice place. (el rosario would be "nicer" though)
