As long as the bike doesn't disappear when you sit back down...you're fine.

gas for sopascat

the little bike can do 80 mpg, but ymmv, here john is getting some for cathy.

for you all FFs out there....NEVER PISS OFF A 640A RIDER, one day you will beg for gas!

after that, we were able to explore another 30 miles of the angeles crest that we hardly seen......above newcomb's and do a recon if the 2 has been opened or dispel the rumor.

the crest was wide open...no one in front nor behind us, just a few oncoming traffic

cathy and john behind me

there is no truth to the rumor

nevertheless the ride back was still fun

angeles crest at 7K feet was cool, and when i got home, was in the 90s ..............i tell you, the ride even though it's the same o - same o, i would rather do it again next weekend than letting summer passed by me!

Kennedy Meadows this Weekend

For those who are unaware, many of us will be at the Kennedy Meadows Camp/Ride......here's the link

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...343690&page=26

If you have a big bike, you could still join us and do the other trails or explore Sherman Pass, nice and long twisty road which will take you to Kernville or Lake Isabela.

Or just come for the Carne Asada Dinner on Saturday night, graciously hosted by DR and Sopascat!

Looks like I will truck my XR400, and will have room for camping equipment and other crapolas. Drop them off at my house before or on Thursday night.

Dang I was thinking about this one (Kennedy Meadows). Went riding this weekend with some FFs from the SDAR out in Corral Canyon got to do some pretty nice trails on the WRR. Went down a few times but no one was there to take pictures. Handlebar smacked the top of my knee pretty good on one get off but besides that no damage.

Little bike and less money...will live vicariously through your pictures when you get back. (I'll literally be knitting like a good little girl while you're away.)

Be safe and have fun. Remember, shiney side up; rubber side down.

(ps...the $99 Alpinestars boots just came - they fit! )

Most any trail up there is big bike friendly, it's the rider who's not

qwiksy, I know what you mean about little bike, no money, but if you're interested in doing some of these trips, I have a couple options for trailering bikes, maybe you'd like to join up for some of them........

knitting?

glad the boots fit

Ride as much as you can, but keep the bike in pristine condition and I like it shiny when I get the first pic....

Thanks. You all rock! Too short notice and I can't get away from work. I haven't been here long enough to get vacation days.

And yes, knitting. I have a once a month get together with a friend in Oceanside. She's coming up here this time and I'm showing her how to use my spinning wheel. Then we have tickets to the Hollywood Bowl.

The only thing the bike will be doing this weekend is hauling my butt to the Getty Center for an art class Sunday afternoon. (Motorcycles get free parking in primo spots.)
