Feb12-Nowwhat ,Sito, Spafixer, JohnGil, Yzlvr, Traveltoad, RSC E, Riddler990 & Toast

Big bike ride to shake out the bugs for DV. Both Sito and Riddler990 both doing their first rides on the amazing Super Enduro.
Met up at Starbucks with Nowwhat, Traveltoad and JohnGil on time and suggested we bolt and get breakfast at Tommies cafe in Castaic.

Breakfast was delicious, the service was quick and friendly.

We then met the rest of the FFs and McDonalds. JohnGil has 3 of my backpack contents in his mystery bag.

Some clean well farked bikes showed up for the ride.

I love these bars

We forgot to have that team meeting to go over all of the techniques to keep the group together at all times, still nobody was left behind.
Anyway, we hit the trails. Nowwhat leading the way here.

After waiting to regroup, we all ran into a locked gate and then another....
No worries on this one as there was a go around.

I quickly crossed to get the video setup and ready.

Sorry no pics, of the crossing. You will have to catch the video.
I suggest the line on the left. Riddler990 choosing the right line.

Aqueduct short stop. Sito and his SE.

Riddler990 and his new SE.

RSC E styling on his pristine Adventure.

Power line road, moving at high speeds. We stopped here for 3 minutes to clean goggles.

Yzlvr gave the BlueMan group in Vegas 5 stars.

Sorry Spafixer, guess I only got 1 picture of your ass.

Brokeback Beemer.

Back on the trails

We stopped at this area that had a small jump. Sito got this fine (pre-mature) shot of me before I launched in the air.

Nowwhat also took the jump with better results. If he didn't have those MoJavi bags weighing down the back end of his bike, he surely would have browned his shorts as his endo would have been more severe.

We somehow lost the front 3 fast riders. 25 minutes later we found 2 of them but Traveltoad was now missing. We called him to find out he was fixing a flat. We met at a tower and waited for a while. Sito wasn't around to help with the flat fix.

Riddler990 was a polite guy, never fighting to be in the front. As result I got more pictures of him than anyone else.

We had to coax some of the FFs up this hill. It looked worse than it was. Just remember that you almost have 100hp and forget about the extra 250 pounds.

RSC E coming up some hill climbs.

Riddler990 using some serious body english, Spafixer looking on.

These things are magnificent. And the windmills are cool as well.

This was where the trail went single track whoops with barb wire on one side and a steep hill on the other. After a scouting group checked it out, the right decision to abandon our effort to get to Tehachapi and instead turn back to Mojave was made. Talks of beer got the pace moving.

We all spend some serious bacon on these twins. Speaking of bacon, this bacon looks really good.

The video is another 15 minute long thing that begs for some music, trying to get some songs together. Please PM suggestions that won't get blocked on youtube.

Thanks Sito for posting the ride. Nobody got hurt, no damage that I saw or heard of. Overall a good day of riding. I did lose 1 of my spark arrestor inserts, hopefully Javi can hook me up with a replacement.
