not a really a popular topic at this time on this thread. we'll have a separate one later.

talking trash is better than picking trash, cuz it attracts more trash.

so, if the pucks don't have any riding plan to talk about or positive thing to say, let's give this thread a rest. let it settle to the bottom of the page.

and they're only not too far, just south of the border.

anyway, let's give them a chance. they're kids and will bounce back easily and they can have fun too. so far, haven't really seen them doing anything stupid. accident happens.

it's an adventure, if anything else.

Ya, I'm just about the LAST guy to make a judgement on the matter. I've crashed pretty hard in baja. (and everywhere else I've ever riden) I guess it is how one 'learns' and all, but they kind of lost me with this one:

It's no wonder he crashed right there. OMFG! That Baja is some pretty hardcore shit right there!

Question Malibu canyons

I was at Malibu canyon roads last Saturday. To smell the flowers and also a personal challenge.
Here are some pictures and i'll have a question:

Flowers:

Pacific Blue:

Here is my wingman:

Quite comfy for a short nap:

And here is my question. I found this appealing dirt road behind an old, rusted gate. It made sure that they don't want any transpassers. "Keep Out" and "No Transpassing" signs were all over the place. And there was also a "Federal Property" sign on the side. However, the gate was open and tempting. I didn't go, so dont be alarmed. But I want to know how serious of a crime will it be if I make my move next time?
Here are the pics:

Any ideas???

Possibly the old NIKE site in Malibu. Missle battery, not shoes. There were quite a few around socal that operated in the 50's, 60's and early 70's. They were anti-aircraft missles inteneded to protect LA area from Soviet Bombers. There is another old site off Santa Clara Divide road in the Angeles national forrest.

EDIT-> LA county fire dept is leasing the NIKE site from the US dept of interior, so that is probably not it.

That's a National Park service emblem and the closest thing I can find is this:
http://www.nps.gov/samo/index.htm

I'm guessing that is a service road used by the NPS.

The FAA has equipment in the hills around there.

Federal signs just mean you'll be getting a bigger ticket and a longer stay.
