ACH is still closed at the old Azusa, so you'll have to take AFH to the Valyermo route and up to WW.

I heard Upper Big T is closed due to the chip seal melting!

Also heard that Azusa is open to Crystal Lake, and there's a new place to eat there!

We'll probably check it out this Sun, then stop at the Ranger Station and see what the story is with Rincon and go up as far as we can.

we haven't been to big bear this year and this will be the best time since the temp here in l.a. will be around 90 plus
Joel,
I have a hall pass that Sat and was think of heading up to BB. I was thinking of posting to see if anyone wanted to ride up from the 15fwy/Mcd's. and work are way up to BB? Depending on the interest it could be a small bike or big bike ride? If some people want to camp and spend the night they could. I need to be back so I can bring the people back down the hill.
People need to post up so we can make plans.

Guys guys... Please drop this small bike extravaganza... You know that some of us can not effort to have a small bike. So please keep it simple. BIG bikes are just fine...
And I am sure you would like to see Joel on your old 950...

there's a good chance those riding up won't be able to play with the small bikes since we're loaded with camping gear....

i'm thinking of cleghorn to dam to pilot rock truck trail to lake arrowhead (lunch). then green valley, to 3n16 to big bear. small bikes can plan their routes.

saturday - 7am at 7-11 @ oro vista and 10 am at mc'Ds.

option 2, we can do pioneer town but it will be a different route. mc'D to hesperia to holcomb to pioneer town.

I'm game for whatever... big / small don't care as long has I'm riding!. Joel we need to get your ass out of bed sooner, 10 am and McD's? thats not going to be doable! we need to be heading up the hill by 8:am if you plan on making this run. Big Bike to Pioneer Town is a full day ride.

P.S :3n16 water crossing is going to be fun! it was last weekend!

Either option is good for me. Old Woman Springs Rd up to 3n16 was a good route. I think we did that on a ride last year. It was different and scenic. Either way, either route, I am IN!

Darn - wish I was riding with you guys this weekend. Instead I'm taking one of my road riding fledglings on a ride south through 76 -> Julian -> Sunrise HWY

The poor kid's longest ride thus far was a 70 mile loop. Wish me luck!

If anyone wants to head south for some easy pavement sight seeing, come along - I plan to be on the road in Anaslime by 7.

The weekend of the 13, I'll be heading up to Tahoe to enjoy the first couple of stages of the Amgen Tour..

It will be a big bike/ street bike run up 395 past Tahoeacr's house... (I'd stop, but I don't know how to get around the bike racers and beat them to NorthStar the finish of stage 1) We have a place to stay in Truckee, and any of the L.A. crew are welcome to ride with me if professional bike racing is your thing.. Coming back Monday after seeing the Stage 2 start in Squaw Valley...

See, we are all riding. I think we have split up a bit into more focused groups. (As we get to know each other)

Friday afternoon. I have slept in the Roadside rest just above Mammoth Lakes. Woke up to a beautiful mountain sunrise..

Anyone know if they finished the remodeling of the Mammoth Rest Stop area, and it's back open.
