true, and could be an inexperienced pilot. the disco are great 4x4, pumpkins at both end, but you have to drop at least $10K to make it a rock crawler. in my experience, $20K of accessories is a necessity to make a serious truck. dunerat......he knows his toys.

i saw traveltoad's well set up disco, none of those rovers look like his.

Any stock Discovery series I or II is easily capable of going up that hill (and much more . .).

Awesome pictures, Joel !

Thumb Looking for a garage / tools

Hi,

my name is Marius. I am from Germany.

I brought my 2000 Honda Africa Twin to Canada and took off on 22nd April on the east coast in Halifax, Nova Scotia. My final destination will be the west coast in California and then Vancouver, B.C.

I went across New England, the White Mountains, Upstate New York, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Chicago, Kansas City, Colorado, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas (stayed with tbarstow in Henderson and had a great time).

Right now I am in San Pedro, which somehow is a part of L.A.

Due to the long way round from east coast to west coast, my bike needs some attention.
Basically I have to install a new front sprocket, an open chain with a lock and mount a new rear-tire. I think I will do the tire at MC TIRE in Lomita, maybe by myself.

But for the chain, I need a place with tools. If anyone could offer a place, that would be awesome.

I am riding around the L.A. area at the moment to collect the parts so that I can fix everything before the weekend comes up. Will there be a ride in the L.A. area next weekend?

We stopped and talked to them a bit. The guy in the in the blue discovery snapped his front end the discovery in front of him was towing / helping him down the hill. That was an expensive day
for someone! only when 100ft off road! That was a fun trail I would have love to watch them, I don't see how many of those "stock" looking rigs could have made it? I have an LR3 and would never even think about trying that trail! I had a hard time on my 530?
