if the grand canyon north rim ride does not happen, i plan to be in jv next weekend. just looking for a flat dirt to practice and work on riding skilz. nice to have a hill that i can ride up and then stop midway sideways.

those who want to do the gc, we have a new plan that is truck the bikes and stage our riding from a camp somewhere near gc. i think this is the best way, so we can bring plenty of provisions and proper gear. likewise, we can get there faster, and avoid riding in the desert heat just to get to mesquite.

this is a 5 day trip.

Well shit!
What a ride.
Started at MacDonalds @ 138/15 and went uphill/downhill from there!
The Long Way Round from MacDonalds to Cleghorn was an eye opener.
The weather has really affected the trails.
Three of us started out and one guy bailed within 1/2 mile.
Cleghorn was ok.
Trails up towards Big Bear pretty rough.
THEN we took a wrong turn at Crab Flats and ended up on Deep Dish Trail and the Waterfall.
Do not do this unless you desire bent foot pegs and shifters.
Do not do this unless you want to turn around and go back UPHILL the way you just came.
We had TEN jeeps and TEN dirt bikes snarled at the Waterfall.
So after losing two hours we back tracked and made it to North Shore Cafe in Fawnskin for lunch at 4pm.
All in all one of the BEST rides I have ever been on

I headed out to Jawbone today. Nice weather, just a bit on the warm side if you weren't moving. I got a good hour and a half of practice in the sandwashes. Getting a lot better in the loose stuff. After that I decided to explore a little. I headed up the pipeline road.

Checked out a couple of the offshoots before heading out and down around behind the Jawbone Canyon Store and back to the canyon floor.

On to Dove Springs for a little hillclimb practice. Lots more work to do on this front. Loose downhills sections are my biggest weakness right now. Uphills going pretty good. Ran out of water and energy and headed home in the early afternoon. Good day!

I wonder if I was there at the waterfall the same time as you. I was with a group of 8 dirtbikes. We made it up the waterfall only to find the line of Jeeps at the top and couldn't make it around them so we went back down. Glad to say I made it (some pushing involved), but it was a bit nerve racking!

Free***

Hey Adventure riding boys and girls. I am cleaning up a little and have this Cortech Jacket that my buddy gave me. It has been to Alaska, Nova Scotia and the panama canal. It is worn in and the pictures show it. But it still offers decent protection! So if you have no cash and want the "I have been there" look or you just want to add options for your wardrobe, this is it!!

It is a size XL 46, it is a little to big for me (5'9" -200#). I was hoping to give it to a local here before I threw it in the flea market

***Price is free unless I have to ship it. A donation to ADVrider would be nice if you wish

I'm afraid sleeve

Front!

Pm me thanks

You must have seen the guys on the three KTM's with camping gear. They were still there when we ate.

Yep. You guys went back down. Three guys came up, their truck was at Crab Flats.
I got to the tenth Jeep in line on the uphill, but couldn't get down and past.

We turned around and rode back up a Yamaha XT225 and a Yamaha TW200! I was on the TW. I also had to walk up and down and help my buddy with his XT.
It was so much fun I want to do it again next weekend but unfortunately I'm busy .
