Cool, I'm thinking we could meet either at the normal spot (7-11 at Osbourne and the 210) and take Little T up and over to Frazier Park, Or just meet in Frazier park at the Shell station just off the 5. I'm cool either way lets say 7:30 at 7-11 or 8:00 at Frazier....

Let's do 7:30 at 7-11, maybe hook up a couple other FFs for the longer trek. We could go up and back the slow twisty way or slab either way, I don't mind 8 hour rides myself. Weather for Taft tomorrow sez low 60s in the AM. high of 80!

Hey Trid. The objective for Sat, is Carrizo National Monument. The dirt is there, but it's a lot of slabbing to get to it. Around 75 to 100 miles depending on routes. Right now it looks like me, Artboy57 and xymotic, meeting at 7/11 off Osbourne and the 210..

3rd Full Moon Ride

Yesterday was the 3rd time, in 3 months, we rode under the full moon in Angeles Forest. It's was a crazy idea, and to a point relatively unsafe. Imagine, in full daylight alone accidents happen, what more when the visibility at any speed is limited to a tiny patch of light in front of us.

This ride became a tradition, and at the same time, I see it as an opportunity to learn how to ride in the dark, much like acquiring a survival skill that adventure riders has to go through. We had carnages in the last 2 rides, and yesterday's was no different...

Just hours before the ride, we had a flurry of excuses and no show that threatened the ride. At least 5 regular riders were missing, anyway nothing stopped us from making this event to happen.

e-nuff, let's get the pics posted, boring one first.....

On my way to Lynx Gulch...the canyons pretty much mine

I always wanted to take a picture of this bridge, since I had the time, went ahead and did it. You'll notice the change in elevations, the whole ride is from almost sea level to over 6K feet.

That trail cut along the mountain side is Lynx. In an hour, I will be looking down where I took this picture.

I got to the bottom of the Lynx trailhead and the Masia was already waiting.

More pics and rr coming...

the masiah and i didn't wait too long, klnkern and sito rode in

air down = better traction = speed

w8ted about 15 minutes so we don't leave anyone behind, especially those who made us think they're coming

at 6:20 pm, we were moving

bruce and i were worried that sito will catch up and leave us in a dust storm....check out the brown cloud behind us, a 950 storm coming

soon chris passed us. note to nOObs, putting weight on the peg makes the bike turn

oh shit, here's sito

right on my butt

and now there's a rock spittin 950 in front of me!

used to be a water crossing now mud...too bad the pic turned out crappy, it's almost evening inside the canyons

enjoying the break, and these guys rode light, no 12-pack tonight

at 7pm, the trail looks like this.....nOOb friendly, i didn't have chance to take pictures of sections making lynx notorious since both hands had gorilla grip on the bars.

minor trailside repair; this 950 is still spotless , we'll see it again later on

we made it to the mill creek ranger station at 7:15

the masiah smiling to see another rider joining us

charles.........i could hardly read the letters printed on your barkbaster

we made it to nr

and m1jeep arrived before us (by taking angeles crest..... )

another advrider on a gsa, sorry forgot your name?

cathy and a long island ice tea

the father and son dunerats

i'm afraid our rides turning into a social club

i like the racial diversity enjoying the same passions....

the masiah grew 2 horns

rich aka m1jeep

ben showed up as promised

the size of the burger is gargantuan

to those who like to ride closed trails, he has an 800 number and bilingual operators are standing by

cathy showing her style when hanging out at the bar looking for a date

Masiah got his new barkbuster on! No more bent or broken levers!

So Joel gets the Sito's bike on it's side bounty? Let's see it!

I saw 2 of 3 tip overs in Sito's Sandwash...but the guy was too fast to get photographic evidence. I think he heard me getting the camera out and was up in a flash.

I saw M1Jeep on the freeway. I was heading home and saw the white tank and black fenders on the other side of the freeway. I was bummin' I was in the truck and not on the bike.

Hope to see you all next ride!
