Good job Mike for filling in this weekend's local ride and nice to see 86d.

After Carrizo, Mike, that will be the time to get a knobby for the rear!

I did the East Mojave this weekend and few socals were there, 2old2race, M1Jeep, Ben, and myself.

I'm still beat from last weekend , and time to do my taxes. Still, I want to sneak out and do a little riding.

Option 1) Anyone wants to do Angeles Crest this Sat? I'm thinking of taking the GS out. Breakfast at Newcomb's. It could be anywhere else too.

Option 2) A short dirt ride and explore part or continuation of Lynx that has never been posted. My map shows a dirt trail all the way to Mt. Emma.

Option 3) Suggestions....

Edited: The trail to Mt. Pacifico I believe is 3N17, and it may be closed during winter. I have to call the Forest Service.

We can try a little different route. The ride up is the usual SCD, then go down on Moody to BPL, and back up on 4N32 to Mt. Gleason. We cross AFH, to Lynx and try to find the trail that will take us to Upper Big Tujunga.

The altenative is do the Pacifico Trail or 3N1 (assuming it's open). After we cross AFH, instead of Lynx (north to south), we take the continuation of 3N17 which runs west to east and will end on Angeles Crest. Also on the same trail, there's an off shoot, 5N04 (north direction). The trail connects to 4N20, which ends on AFH south of Mt. Emma Rd.

Not sure what to expect, but I'm willing to explore the trail and find out how far we can go.

Danny, I assume your AZ CR is plated, then you'll be ok, otherwise, you will be limited to a few trails and be left out by the group.

Joel

Doghouse, normal people work on Mondays!

My employer also pays me for not riding.

I hope you ran out of excuses next weekend not to do Carrizo.

What are you saying, I'm not normal? You better smile when you say that; oh wait...you did.

Now you're just being mean. Saturday is out (I don't get off work until 6am Saturday morning) but you might just see me there Saturday night if anybody is planning to do some dirt riding Sunday.

Last time I was on the Pacifico road...there was a huge washout that took out the whole road. That was about a year ago...maybe they fixed it by now?

Why don't you start on Upper Big T and head up the Lynx turnout...there is a sign and everything. You will eventually link up with parts of the trail you are familiar with, and then you will know the whole route. The bottom part is not difficult and there may even be a fun water crossing.

out this trip

Hey Guys have fun...
I just got the "Tanker" back from the shop- $250.00 OOUUCCHH!! Please learn from me- USE PROTECTION... not just with women, but on your clutch case cover! H8chains, Artboy & Nick saved my butt from the mishap. Do carry JB weld for the unexpected puncture. I'm booked up the remaining weekends in April. Big Bear Bash is where I am going.

Cheers,

Pablo
